We stayed here for a romantic weekend away.
Plus points - Molten Brown toiletries, good restaurant and bar on site (we ate at the brasserie and had a really good meal), nice facilities onsite, massive beds, nice decor generally, beautiful location, really friendly staff
Lovely farm shop nearby and also the sculpture park which is worth a wander (though get a flyer from reception else it's expensive)
Minus points - we were in the most basic room which was a little shabby and tired (though OK). There was also some noise between rooms and with only single glazing some people might have noticed car noise. Due to the location I wouldn't want to stay there for longer than a night or two else you'd end up driving for other food options. My boyfriend also wanted more bar snacks available!

Everything about this stay was absolutely as we liked it. We arrived at Reception to find someone already checking in so we were invited over to a desk by another staff member so we didn't have to wait. We were then shown to our room and found it to be an excellent size with a large flat screen TV and convenient sofa to watch it. The decor was very attractive and the wet room plenty big enough with Moulton Brown Toiletries -there was also a hand written card on the dressing table welcoming us back!! We had stayed here a few years ago and, despite only a one day booking, they had identified as a returning customer. We also ate in The Richmond Arms and the food was perfect. There is not a huge choice on the menu but I had plenty to choose from and the environment was very good. We added a quick trip to see a few of the Sculpture park items and added it to our must visit again list. :)

Located for Glorious Goodwood but a typical provincial English 1960s low-built hotel - narrow corridors, endless traipses up and down stairs to reach your room, ceilings you can touch and meeting rooms past bedrooms. The bedrooms rooms are well appointed but minute although the beds are excellent (provided you are not six foot tall) and the bathrooms are gorgeous. Service is friendly but amateur and the food acceptable verging on good.

went away with my aunt on a secial offer weekend. the whole place was just lovely. the food in the restaurant is amazing, its total 5* not one complaint. the grounds of goodwood area also very nice, we drove about and met many locals, chatted with them in the lanes, or over a drink in one of the local pubs. had a nose round the racing tracks, the air field and most importantly the farm shop, which we did just before leaving so we could take our wares with us.
i have a soft spot for this beautiful place now and will return again & again, especially for the festivals as i would love to try one or all of those. it is a bit pricey but you definately get your money's worth. its england through & through adn i love it. i should say as well, that the spa was beautiful and the ladies in the salon really know their stuff and have been working there for years. a nic thing to hear as well is that the owners of goodwood are trying to keep the place original and true to england andits a family run business so i am eager to return especially if another special offer comes along.
