Booked into this hotel via Hotel Pronto despite the Holiday Inn website saying there was no availability. Paid £66 which is quite good value for the city centre.
The location was perfect for enjoying the sights and sounds of Birmingham. Bull Ring was poor, compared to the Metro Centre, Meadowhall, Trafford Centre, no wonder it was so rammed with people if thats all that Birmingham has for shopping centres. We were dissapointed with this and the surrounding area and were concerned as to how we were going to have a good night in some nice bars and restaurants, but then we found the Mailbox and Broad Street and this solved all our problems and had a great night.
Back to the hotel, the room was great, good size, very clean, bathroom clean modern, shower excellent, nice and warm, plasma TV. Nothing lacking at all. The view was poor but what do you expect in city centre Birmingham, a sea view!!
Breakfast was fine, very busy but late finishing at 11am was good to allow a lye in!
My wife also left a top and GHD straightners and feared that these would not be seen again but we rang them and they were posted two days later. Fantastic!
All in all well recommended, staff attentive, rooms clean and modern. Negative was price of parking at £14 and when we got to the barrier it was stuck open so we could have got away without paying!
Would definately stay again.
