Having kept my groupon voucher to use for my husbands birthday meal and also to celebrate the sale of my house called Ingon, I phoned to book a table. A very rude woman answered the phone and told me 'your like hundreds of other voucher people and left it to the last moment-we are fully booked'. When I explained I had planned to use it at this time and 'not left it until the last minute' I was then told 'well youv'e had six months but like everyone else you decide to use it in the last week' The line went dead.
I am shocked at the attitude of the woman and also if this was the case they should have made alternative arrangements as the voucher is still valid.
As a local business woman I lunch and dine out and have always used local restaurants - but not this time. I am often asked for places to go for a meal and I am afraid that N019 will not be on my list, I would hate anyone I know experiencing the welcome I did. In these very poor economic times and local trades trying to survive I would have thought every customer is precious - mine are.

We were welcomed on arrival. We ordered drinks and were escorted to a small lounge where our drinks were brought to us. After perusing the excellent menu our order was taken by a very pleasant gentleman. While we were waiting for our starter to be prepared, we were given an apetizer which was very tasty. Our meal was ready. We went through to the dining room with excellent views. The meal was superb. Some reviews state that it is expensive. I say you pay for what you get, and we had the best. It was a very nice evening. I would certainly reccomend Ingon Manor to my friends and I can't wait for our next visit, which will not be too long away.

A really warm welcome from John the manager, sat in a room off the restaurant whilst our starters were being prepared, we were given 2 little tarts whilst we were waiting which was a nice touch. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, candle lit and cosy.The food was superb, although not a huge amount, we shared a bowl of chips which were really nice. Even though we enjoyed our visit,we wouldn't return unless we had another offer as it would be too pricey for the amount of food that you get but the quality was good. I do think that John the new manager will be a great asset to Ingon Manor and perhaps teach the existing staff how to provide a good customer service.

My son had his wedding reception here, there was some concern, as the staff turnover seems to be high. However, the place is fantastic, I had room one which was fabulous, the weather was sunny and warm and a great time was had by all.

There is a new manager called John, who seems to be the reason for the better atmosphere, he has this nice and strange view that they are there to service their customers, which if you read other reviews of this place was not something that was promoted by the management.

So the food for the wedding was fine, could have done with more staff, but my Salmon Salad was excellent. my chicken was only ok, but pear tart was nice, several of my family members commented on how nice they thought the food was!

There are some niggles; they wouldn't/couldn't provide a mike for the speeches, there was a huge price hike on drinks from the hotel bar price to the hired room price ( pint of San Migel £2.90, now £3.30), there was also only one waitress around for all the breakfasts in the morning.

In saying all that it's a fantastic venue, and providing John stays on as Manager and is able to weed out or motivate some of the staff then the place will get better, it deserves to.

I wasn't able to take my clubs which I regret as it looks like a great course, and the Golf deals they offer £125 for Room/Dinner/Golf is quite frankly a steal.

Our family wedding, went wonderfully, glorious weather and no one had anything but a great time. I agree with some of the previous reviews, having had a very nasty and rude lunch here in May, So, in summing up. Providing the staff training/attitude/turnover issues are resolved, this place is a little gem!
