This was a inexpensive place to stay close to town center for one night, but I wouldn't recommend it for any longer than that. We left early to arrive in Bath and were expecting to have to leave out luggage in the car and wander the town before we would be allowed in because our reservation stated that check in started at 1500. Strangely, on the drive there we recieved mulitple text messages and phone calls from the owner asking when we would be checking in as he had plans for the evening and letting us know that sooner would be better. This would have been nice to know prior to the day of arrival. Also, upon arrival the owner seemed distracted and seemed to want to rush us through check in. The privacy of the room we were led to was wonderful, we had our own entrance which was brilliant. Upon enering we were told in no uncertain terms that the kitchenette area was not for our use and that if we did use the fridge we needed to make sure it was clean when we left. The owner also asked, rather abruptly, for the money up front and when paid tried to only give us £5 instead of the £20 we were owed. The room was very clean, but the beds were extremly uncomfortable (we are a family of late sleepers and everyone was ready to get out of bed by 0745 the beds were so bad). We didn't pay for the breakfast, but were able to find a full english breakfast just around the corner for only £1 more. Overall the stay wasn't awful but I will not choose this guesthouse again.
