Stayed for one night as I was seeing an evening performance at the RSC. The owner was very welcoming and I had been upgraded as they were quiet. My room was immaculate and had everything I could need. The location is great, just a short, attractive walk from the town and theatre. Breakfast was great and set me up for the day ahead. My sisters and I recently stayed at Melita and had the family room at the top of the house, which proved to be ideal. Twin basins in the bathroom helped when four of us were doing our makeup. The only negative was that there was some traffic noise from the road, but since we were on a busy road and the room overlooked the front of the house, that was inevitable. Breakfast was great - fresh fruit salad, well-cooked scrambled egg and toast that remained fresh and didn't go soggy. Melita is very convenient to the town centre - only about five minutes walk. The owner was really helpful when it came to recommending places to go and couldn't have been more obliging. Enough parking for all of our cars, which helped. Great place - you can't go wrong.

Lovely Room overlooking the garden and up to the RSC Theatre. Just 8 mins walk to RSC / town centre. Staff and owners charming and attentive, the breakfast was generous with good quality food. No tesco value here. Will come back again. We had the superior room and the fittings and bedding reflected the description. The decoration of the hotel is of a very high standard. Parking is good. There is a petrol station shop opposite which is handy.
