Stayed in Shakespeare lodge 8 for a weeks half term break in October. On arrival we were very swiftly and efficiently checked in and shown personally to our lodge. I have stayed in many lodge parks but this is definitely the best one by far, the lodges were really comfortable, well equipped and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a radiator in one of the bedrooms that didn't work but have to say by the time I returned from reporting it to Reception, it was already being looked at - well done and thank you - even if we did have problems with it all week. It didn't detract from our overall experience of the lodge and park.

The location of the park is great, only about a mile outside Stratford Upon Avon, and the park run a water taxi which regularly takes you into the Marina area in Stratford througout the day allowing you to leave your car at home. A steal at £1.50 each way. The location is also excellent for visiting the Cotswold villages, all of which are just a short car journey away.

The park has a cafe on site which was well used by the residents, particularly for cooked breakfasts and you can order a morning paper from here too.

We enjoyed our stay at Riverside Caravan and Camping Park so much that we have already booked for next year and very much look forward to our return on 2nd June.

stayed here for a week in July 2011 and found the lodge to be absolutely perfect in every way. So nice, clean and comfortable and the grounds were very well looked after. Would certainly go back here.

I have always looked forward to returning to Riverside, we tour with our caravan and for the last 7 years we have returned to Riverside,the location is ideal for all the attrations and sights in the Cotswolds. This year there appears to be new management and sadly things are not the same. What was a friendly, safe nice place is now nothing like it used to be. Staff go out of their way to ignore you or be insulting, continual threats about where you can and cant be, You now have to take in your waste containers and water barrels as they have a tendency to go missing, even things left under the caravan have gone missing. There does not appear to be any form of security so one feels anxious about going out and leaving the caravan, even with wheel clamps on. Sadly for us this will be the last time we come to Riverside.

Had nt heard of snugs till now . Was a bit dubious but they re great . Basically a little shed excellently insulated with French doors and windows perfect alternative to camping . Camping with all the home comforts . Inside they have a very comfy sofa bed , two bunks for I suggest under 11 s a fridge a little heater which we did nt need it was lovely and warm and plug sockets for all your essentials . They are set in lovely open surroundings next to the river . You have a designated showers and toilets. Which are immaculately clean . There is a cheap club house in the adjoining site nothing special but ok to wander down for a drink to . Cafe on site great value breakfasts sausage bacon egg and toast for 99 p .all in all would highly recommend it for a few days walking distance from Stratford .
