“We're already planning our return trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

I raved about this hotel, the owner janet is so welcoming and lovely, she knows so much about the city and was very helpful in suggesting what to do and where to eat. the room itself was lovely, impecably clean and the decor was quaint and sweet just like the city. breakfast was served in the cosy conservatory and there is ample tea and self service cereal. on the first day we made the mistake of having two bowls of cereal which made me nearly unable to finish the large breakfast. the fry up was yummy, huge rashers of bacon, thick sausages were the best I'd had. Welcome trays with biscuits, tea, coffee and hot choclate are provided daily and she even let us have the room for as long as we wanted on the day we were checking out. overall it was the perfect place to spend a weekend away.

“Lovely, friendly B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

My stay at the Hampton Lodge was my first experience with a B&B. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and the room was very comfortable. The location is excellent, it is only a short walk to the river and into town, and breakfast in the morning was wonderful. She even provides a vegetarian sausage option for the full English breakfast in the morning! Breakfast was served in a lovely conservatory, and she allowed us to make use of the free off-street parking for the remainder of the day, even after we had checked out. I would definitely stay here again!

“Excellent location & service but tired décor.”

We stayed for one night as we were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel and didn't want to pay hotel prices.
On arrival, the owner was very friendly and helpful - showing us straight to our room even though we were earlier than the check-in time.
We spent very little time in our room as we spent most of our time in the town centre, for which the location of this hotel is excellent. Most of the towns attractions could be reached on foot within 5-10mins.
The breakfast was good and cooked to order and when we checked out, the owner informed us that we were free to leave our car in the car park if we wanted to spend the day in town.
My only criticism is that the décor is shabby and desperately in need of updating. If I was to return to Stratford then I would probably look for a similar priced B&B with a more attractive interior.

“The Perfect B&B,with a charming welcome from an attentive landlady”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

Hampton Lodge is a delightful B& B establishment run by Janet and her husband. The welcome I received was very friendly and informative from the start. Janet is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to the area of Stratford.
The room was downstairs at the front of the house with a small ensuite.Being presented in a charming fashion, typical of a B&B,bedlinen and towels were impeccably fresh and clean and were maintained throughout the duration of my stay,as was the rest of the room.
Tea,coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were provided and topped up each day.
Breakfast, consisting of juice tea, coffee, fresh fruit, yoghurts, and various cooked foods were freshly cooked and delicious every day.
There is more than adequate parking on the forecourt where you are welcome to leave your car all day if you wish.
As for location, Hampton Lodge is perfectly situated, though on a busyish road during the day, very quiet at night, giving a silent nights sleep.
Only one minutes walk from the nearest watering hole The Tramway Inn,where very good food is served, and five minutes to the waterfront area of the town and its attractions.
Thankyou Janet for making my stay absolutely perfect.
