Spent a lovely weekend at the Travellers Rest B&B - the hosts Cheryl and John were lovely people, very welcoming and so helpful. Its a while since we've stayed in a B&B and I'd forgotten what a home-from-home it is. Yes the rooms are not huge but they are extremely clean and the decor is lovely. Breakfast was fantastic and they serve at times to accommodate the guests. Its around 15 mins to walk into Stratford Town, but to be honest I would rather pay £70 a night and have a short walk than £150 a night to be in the centre - its not a problem - we just had more money to spend - Stratford hotels are not cheap anyway. Cost of the rooms is in keeping with the rest of the B&Bs on that road. Taxi back is only £3.80. Location is actually close to the Shakespeare attractions outside of the centre. I would definitely return. If you visit Stratford make sure you do the Stratford Town Ghost Tour!!

We have stayed in many B&B both in England and Australia and I found this place very small. the bathroom had been fitted into a wardrobe . The owner was very friendly and couldn't be more helpful and the breakfast was ok. Overall i thought the room was not worth the money we paid.

My son, daughter and I shared a family room at Traveller's Rest. The room was small but the beds were very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. It is a hike into town though . . . about 20 minutes. Farther to the Royal Shakespeare Theater. If you are going to see the Shakespeare sites, I'd recommend walking to Anne Hathaway's cottage and then riding the hop on, hop off tour bus. We enjoyed our stay.

This was our first time at a bed & breakfast, and it was a wonderful experience. My husband and I travelled with our three teens, so we required a room for two and a room for three. The rooms were ample size and the beds very comfortable. The showers were very nice. Our hosts were most pleasant and gave us a map so we could park our car at their home and walk around Stratford. It was about a ten minute walk to the center of everything, very safe, even at night. It included a full English breakfast in their dining room that was delicious and a wonderful way to meet the other guests. Rooms included a fan and a television. The decor of the rooms were very welcoming, and included lovely furniture. It was a nice experience to be welcomed by our hosts and assisted with our luggage, compared to the commercial hotels. (If you are staying in Stratford, I would recommend booking your tickets for the theatre online before you leave as it is quite popular with the locals as well as with tourists, and you may not be able to get a ticket when you are there.)
