Great location close to Stratford, nice bedrooms and food. Excellent staff member Pauvel - super service and a real asset to the hotel - listens to customers and really goes the extra mile to make you feel appreciated. Many hotels could learn from the service experience of Pauvel. I stayed here on Wednesday 8th Feb.

A trip with a few friends - overnighting just on the Saturday. Very busy with a Murder Mystery weekend party in - possibly 100+ and a wedding. Room was ok but decour obviously a few years old.
Frustrating at breakfast - 2 or 3 items ran out and where we sat meant we couldn't see them replensihed which took a while - so up and down to check. Wouldn't be a first choice to go back to!
Best thing was the rock Band at the wedding - "Whytehouse" - must see them.

After the initial suprise of being hood winked that the hotel was mis sold as the Old Manor House and was really the new conference centre we were pleasantly surprised with an excellent meal in the Tempus restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff who couldn't do enough to help you.The pool was clean and had a Jacquezsi and sauna and a gym and we used all except the gym.The breakfast was to die for and we couldn't wait to come down for it.All in all good value for money but would be good if they actually showed you the full hotel on the point of sale as this is the only thing that let's it down and although rooms were immaculately clean and adequate are just average.One last point the bar is very expensive 2 drinks $12 OUCH !

First impressions,tired and in need of a good over haul which confused us as it was supooesed to have ? Pool,dirty,changing rooms very shabby and set out in a weird way for access to sauna. Heating not on until 4pm and im not kidding,it was so cold when we arrived as its January after all!! Portable heater given but not great. Bar not open until 5 pm! Then when we went there it wasnt so had to ask a t reception ,along came a lad to open up only to close it again once people had purchased one drink! Dinner was nice ..apart from poor service from waitress when I asked if the puddings were made on site or prepped elsewhere? My question was greeted with distain as though I dare ask this in the first place..following this we were asked abruptly what out room number was (already given this when we were shown to our table and it was noted) as though we were not genuine customers. Never have I experienced such service in any restaurant,hence a complaint was written as soon as we arrived home,we didnt even hang around for breakfast that was included in the price as we had enough of the place.. So..rooms are ok..but unless you pay I imagine for the best upgrade and you want a little more comfort,go somewhere else.
