I have just spent a weekend here with a small group of friends. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout - (I hesitated to mess the towels up by using them!) - and the atmosphere is calm and quiet. Our rooms were spacious and uncluttered, with simple decor. I missed being able to soak in a bath, but the showers were perfectly fine, and the toiletries welcome. The proprietors were on hand to dispense endless cups of tea and organise taxis (which cost a little more than we expected at £8-9 to get into town, but that may have been because this was a Saturday evening). Breakfast was straightforward and well-prepared. If you're looking for luxury and glamour this perhaps wouldn't be the place for you, but it's definitely a comfortable, pristine, no-fuss, reliable alternative to staying in the town centre, and it was excellent value.

This was a great place for a family to stay over after watching a play-it's only 25 minutes walk from the centre of town, time which went by very quickly! Lovely staff-it was particularly nice to be offered a coffee just as I was about to go out for an early morning walk. The poached egg at breakfast could have been runnier [and bigger!] and two big sausages would have been nice rather than one rather thin one, but the staff were so nice that I think if I'd asked they'd have been happy to help on both counts. And we've never been anywhere where hot toast arrives the moment you sit down! Brilliant.

My wife and I stayed in one of the Executive rooms. The hotel decor etc is first class. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the food excellent. We'd definitely stay again.

This is a nice, comfortable, very clean place to stay if in Stratford-upon-Avon to go to the theatre, with a nice breakfast and lovely hosts. I found the standard room to be a bit snug (though this is typical of a European hotel room size), so I would suggest getting a larger room if it matters to you. I would add that you would want to have your own vehicle if staying here. It is not that far from the center of town, but it would be a long way to walk if it were raining or late at night. And this is certainly good value.
