Quiet, relaxing environment! Great for getting away from the city!
Absolutely loved it here! Clean and tidy, everything is exactly like the pictures.
The air is fresh and the nights are super quiet - we booked this to both escape the city for a little while (haven't slept this well in ages!) and with the Perseids meteor shower in mind. Weather permitting I'd suggest staying out past 2-3am on the deck chairs and just taking in the sky - breathtaking view! Oh, and Kenilworth castle is literally a 10min walk away! Gorgeous location.
Zoe herself is a lovely person, helpful and kind! Thanks for having us :)

Delightful little corner with a million pound view
What a wonderful little place to stay! Zoe was so kind and made sure everything was ready for us including a fresh pint of milk, local chocolate biscuits and some wood for the fire. Watching the sun set from deck chairs over the red sandstone of Kenilworth Castle from beneath an old tree on the edge of the farm's cornfields; then drinking wine and watching the fire; an evening we won't forget. The caravan itself is so quaint and cozy but with good facilities. Just the right mix of feeling out in nature and away from the hustle and bustle of life while also having everything at one's fingertips. Friendly, thoughtful and diligent hosting at its best with a little home and a priceless view. Can't recommend it enough really!

Perfect!
We enjoyed a two night stay here recently. Perfectly located for a walk into the town but far enough out that you can feel completely relaxed, fantastic view of Kenilworth Castle. The Shepherds Hut has everything you could think of and the breakfast basket was lovely! We hope to be back soon! Thank you Zoe for creating this perfect place!

Absolutely fabulous location, stunning views of the castle, pristine and compact accommodation, cosy and charming.
We arrived at Ground Farm and was immediately overwhelmed by the stunning location of the Shepherd's Hut. The view of Kenilworth Castle and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. The position of the hut is nicely screened and private. The Shepherd's Hut itself was spotlessly clean and compact and had everything we needed; very comfortable bed, hot shower, fridge, microwave and utensils. We cooked on the gas barbeque and had a thoroughly relaxing and peaceful break. Zoe, the host, was very friendly and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. The walks around the area were fantastic and lots of good places to eat and drink nearby. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked a return trip in a few weeks. We had a wonderful break, thank you.

Perfect little hide away.
Had traveled to Grounds Farm by the motorway network and after a very long journey to arrive at this little gem of a shepherds hut with fresh cake and milk to get a brew on was bliss. The hut was perfect for my needs great shower lovely bed with fantastic view over open fields to Kenilworth castle which appeared out of the mist slowly the first morning.had a visitor the first night in the form of a Badger looking for its supper made a mess of the grass next to Zoe's hut.second night watched a mole push up a mound at the back of the hut and a fox run along a field margin.wildlife everywhere. In conclusion Top spot to chill out very handy location for Stoneleigh Park and not far to NEC.Will be going back for more of Zoe's cake just as soon as have need to be in area again. Thanks Zoe

Peaceful escape from busy working week
Kenilworth is a beautiful town which I must return to some day. The Shepherd's Hut was a perfect, peaceful and private haven during my 2 day visit to the NEC. Just 20 minutes away from work but a world apart where I was able to work quietly looking over the fields to the castle. Fresh, ground coffee, homemade cake and everything immaculate. The bed was super comfy too. If I have business in Birmingham soon, this is where I'll be staying.

Our second fabulous stay at the shepherd's hut
It is our second time staying at the shepherd's hut. The location and accommodation is just fabulous. The hut is well equipped and very comfortable. The garden surrounding it is a lovely environment to sit in with marvellous views over Kenilworth Castle - we were also lucky to have sunny hot weather.
Thanks Zoe!

Excellent Private Stay
I brought my girlfriend here as a surprise for the weekend. At first look from the outside she was a bit hesitant but upon seeing the inside she loved it.
Being on the farm's grounds you're a good half a mile from the town which means you have a secluded area but still only a short walk from the castle and the town centre.
Having a view of the castle was wonderful, and we enjoyed sitting in the sun with the view of it.
We found the bed very comfortable, and all the amenities good. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely but eat in the pub
We stayed here for 3 nights as we were attending a wedding in the area and wanted a few days to relax.
Hut is very nice it's a modern reproduction rather than an original one but that means no character but it's much better insulated , nice and warm no need to use the heater.
Nice view from the bed over to the castle very peaceful. It is not very private being on a grass verge off the road opposite the main farm house. We felt that it would be much better if they moved the table to the back and made a some kind of fence or hedge to the road.
Inside there is a small fridge with an ice box a kettle and a toaster. There is some tea bags, coffee for a cafetière, salt pepper and oil and a small bottle of milk which was nice to arrive to. There is a BBQ outside with a gas ring on one side. I'm sure it is great on a calm summers day but we tried to make breakfast on it when there was a slight breeze and could not get enough heat to fry an egg. It's not a major issue we brought croissants for breakfast and ate out at Kenilworth's many nice restaurants for other meals. Ego is nice and we went to the cool DC diner @ Coventry Airport which is a cool experience eating on a plane. We stayed in another Shepherds hut and they had a one ring electric hob inside which would be a great addition to this place.
Overall we had a great time the location is nice about a 15" walk in to Kenilworth town and 5 minutes to the castle. Host was nice and left us to ourselves. Would go back if we needed to be in the area again.

The shepherd hut is located on a farm a couple of fields away from Kenilworth Castle. The farm is at the end of the road which we share with the Castle, the views are spectacular.
You can walk to the pubs and restaurants of Kenilworth in less than 15 minutes.
Kenilworth is a small town with a growing number of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
We are near Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry and The Cotswolds.
Close to NEC, Stoneleigh Park, Warwick University and many major tourist attractions in the midlands.
Getting around
A car may be useful for this cottage but we are only a mile from Kenilworth (bus stops and train station) so easily accessible with a bike or on foot.
