I stayed here with my family for 2 nights recently and didn't have a very good experience. Firstly the site is very nice (clean toilets/ nice greenery/ lake) but I think this is counter-balanced by both the cost (£240 for one caravan for 3 nights and one tent for 2 nights?!) and the BAD aittitude of the managements.
I am not a seasoned camper but my parents have visited numerous sites over the years with their caravan and I have to say the attitude of the staff is the worst they have come across.
We were firstly accused of not paying enough nor making the manager aware of the number/ names in our party - which after a heated discussion the manager admitted he was wrong (he initially accused us, then went away for 4 hours then questioned us again...get out the spotlight next time!!). Following on from this, he then went on to advise us of a complaint about noise from our caravan on the Friday evening at 9.30pm-10pm - we were quite surprised at this and even more shocked at his condesending tone. It turned out somebody had heard laughter from our area (it was reported to the clubhouse, who reported to the managers wife, who then came and checked it out but could hear nothing...) and that we were made aware that the site is quiet by 9pm everynight.
We also went to the clubhouse for food on the first night - food not bad but £105 bill for 6 adults and two childrens main meals and drinks seemed a bit steep.
So in conclusion only visit this site for the clean toilets and lake if 1) you are happy to pay over the odds and 2) you are tucked up in bed with your cocoa as quiet as a mouse by 9pm every night :o)
