The Bath House delivered everything that was promised in its publicity, which is sadly not always the case with other hotels.

I recieved a friendly welcome and was shown to a lovely room, well appointed with an air of luxury comfort. Someone here obviously appreciates quality and attention to detail.

The room was tranquil and relaxing, the bed comfortable, the shower hot and spacious, just what you hope for when staying away from home.

Nice touches like good tea and coffee making equipment with biscuits, a mini fridge with fresh milk and best of all for my personal taste, a jug of iced water. - Attention to detail again - great.

Breakfast was served to my room exactly at the time requested, hot and well cooked with a basket of brown toast, preserves and butter. - Even the toast was seved hot, kept wrapped up in the basket. - Other hoteliers could learn a lot about the importance and possibility of this level of service and delivery.

Location was good for a short walk to Bath cenre, parking on site was a little restricted but there was a large car park about 30 meters away, visible from the Bath House and with easy access.

My friends would probably describe me as being very choosy, - I am. - However I would be VERY happy to stay here again and would have no hesitation in recommending The Bath House to anyone looking for a quality establishment.

The Bath House is in a great location (5min walk) to all the central Bath tourist attractions (Abbey, Roman Baths, Spa etc.) As parking spaces are at a premium, and in my view expensive, in Bath a great perk of this B&B is that it has free on-site parking located just to the rear of the property for the duration of your stay. If you stay longer than your check out time on your final day the owners can give you a voucher that entitles you to free parking on one of the nearby side roads for the remainder of the day.

We stayed in room 4, the front room on the top floor of the house. The room was done out to a high standard with King Size bed, flat screen TV, mini fridge in the room. My wife and I loved the fact that breakfast was served in your room and you can choose a time (between 7.30 and 9.30) when you want to eat breakfast. We thought the quality,choice and amount you received was very good. The small on-suite bathroom was also fitted out well. The shower cubicle is a little narrow but this was a small down side in our view.

Overall we thing this B&B well deserves its AA 4 Star rating and if we return to Bath it will be our first choice of accommodation.

My other half & I so enjoyed our stay at The Bath House - from the warm welcome at the front door, you feel like you'll be well looked after and every little detail has been thought of. We were in room number 3 - a lovely big room at the front of the house with four-poster bed & en suite bathroom. The room was very clean & comfortable, and very well-equipped (including i-pod docking station, hairdryer with diffuser / nozzle attachments & 2 wine glasses alongside the usual suspects on the tea tray). We also liked the little laminated signs around the room that gave directions on how to use things (having spent many cold minutes in other B&Bs trying to figure out how to make the shower work, this was much appreciated!)

Breakfast was served in our room, with items we selected on a menu the night before at the time we requested (and despite us forgetting to put our order out on our door by 8pm night before!) It was all delicious - freshly prepared with good quality ingredients.

It's a great base to use to explore Bath - just a few minutes walk from the Royal Crescent & Circus, and 5-10 minutes to the city centre - and having it's own parking is a real bonus (particularly in such a central location).

We will definitely be returning to stay there next time we're in Bath, and would highly recommend it highly to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Bath that really feels like a treat.

This is a beautiful B&B, the room was spotless and the bed could not have been more comfortable. The staff were also very sweet, but unfortunately we felt let down on the following points.

1 - My girlfriend had selected this B&B because it had a bath. When we arrived the water was too cold to bath in. We reported this to the staff who said they would speak to the owner, but nobody every got back to us on this issue.

2 - On the first morning I ordered the full english breakfast. When it arrived it was inedible, eggs were rubbery, and meat had obviously been sitting around for some time (the skin on the sausages were deep brown and solid, the bacon had congealed white fat on it and was tough to the bite). The second morning I ordered croissants (with were served warm, but were not nearly fresh) as well as fruit with yoghurt (which turned out to be a pot of strawberry Activia).

3 - This wasn't such a great concern, but our room (number 1) being in the middle of a staircase leading to the main entrance was quite noisy - though not terrible.

It's a shame because this place had the potential to be amazing. I'm not sure, but perhaps if the owners had been around it would have felt like a more personal service and the issues would have been resolved.
