Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Georgian House Hotel. The experience was a very pleasant one with a warm welcome extended from our early arrival - 6 hours before the official check in time - and it was very unusual, but much appreciated, that we were allowed access to our rooms at our arrival time. The rooms are compact but were mostly very clean. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. We were in the main building room 3 and there was a little noise from passing traffic and the upstairs and neighboring guests being transferred through the walls and windows, but it was not too distracting and did not prevent us having a good night's sleep. Bathrooms were small and our only complaint during the stay was that on the last night and morning, the water pressure was low and we could not get the toilet to flush. However, this was a minor inconvenience - pardon the pun. Breakfasts were excellent and overall friendliness and service were of the highest standard. There are better located hotels for those who are pushed for time to see London's attractions but with a group travelling on a budget, the Georgian House would be hard to beat.

We stayed in a triple classic room (three female friends travelling together) in the main hotel building. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk were provided - as well as a bottle of wine. A wide range of choice for breakfast - the full English was very nice.
Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. One of the staff met us from the taxi and took our luggage up to the room; on the day of our departure the same man took our luggage out and into the taxi for us. Something we have never experienced in other hotels on previous visits to London.
We found it to be an ideal location for lots of different places. Our room was at the back of the hotel which was very quiet, even with the window open all night.
We will definitely be staying here again.

Rooms are small but clean. No toiletries. Young desk staff very helpful - doorman expecially! He moved my luggage, found me cabs, delivered a bottle of wine to my room upon check in. No lift. Hotel is in multiple buildings, so there can be a walk around the corner to the property which houses the front desk, the lobby and the breakfast room. Breakfast is standard full English, with fruit and pastries on a buffet. Internet access in the lobby. Great location, 10 minutes walk from two Tube stops and the Thames River, 25 minutes from Westminster.

Booked via late rooms for two nights. We were given room 3 in the Bower House Building which is a street away. Thankfully, they have a porter for bags etc! Quite a few things were unsatisfactory on our visit, but I must say, the owner, did refund our first night.

The bathroom was so tiny in room 3, even for me (5ft 2 and slim build)!!!!

The windows were rotten and would not stay open. Opened the curtains in the morning, 7.30 ish to find a workman sitting outside our bedroom window, on the ledge, pointing up the brick work. The sheets were stained (how this went unnoticed by the cleaner when changing the bed was beyond me) no DVD player, bathroom shower blocked (my partner unblocked this and we took photos, should anyone not believe us). They offered us a basement room but as room 2 was directly above, we could not stand the noise, so had to move again. The management did speak to the guests concerned. Showed us a couple of other rooms but both had issues so we ended up back in room 3!!

My partner ordered a bottle of wine for the room, as it was our anniversary. It was duly placed but unfortunately was warm, as it was placed in the ice bucket with no ice and I couldn't chill it in the bathroom sink, as I could barely clean my teeth in there, it was so small.

The breakfast tasted lovely and was complimentary but, I barely had chance to eat my cereal when the cooked breakfast was put down in front of me and when we left to walk back to our room in BH a number of the breakfast staff were outside, chatting and smoking, which doesn't look too good when you have just eaten breakfast they have delivered to your table, can only say, I hope they washed their hands!!!!!!!!!

Reception lady was very friendly,owner was helpful and listened and the location was good but I wouldn't stay there again just based on those three positives, unfortunately.

I understand how difficult this career can be and to please everyone, is sometimes like walking in treacle so I would like to thank the owner for listening.
