It was one night stay and for that the hotel is perfect. We booked executive room so I thought it would be something special but it wasn't. However the room was clean and spacious. As bonuses we got 2 bottles of water and bathrobes. Staff (I've met only one young gentleman at the reception) was VERY nice and helpful =)
I would stay there again.

Great views of Hyde park. What seemed like a brand new bedroom, comfortable bed and Great shower. Hop off and on tour bus which stops right outside the door. Helpful concierge for a taxi in the evening. Fantastic service in the bar after the theatre and superb breakfast which we could eat at 11.30 as breakfast runs later on Sunday's apparently... Don't normally write reviews but have stayed in many hotels on business and for a quick weekend retreat with the wife the hotel could not be faulted, perfect.

Our room was a little bit on the small side but we expected this after reading the reviews in tripadvisor, plus it was very nice, clean and modern so we were very happy.
We requested a quiet room and we were on the top floor and away from the lifts so it was nice and quiet.

We got an excellent rate through the thistle website, some winter special rate, which had no breakfast but there is a cafe very close to the hotel with very good prices for breakfast.
Also very close to the hotel there is a street with many cafes, restaurants and shops which came in handy for dinner etc by the Queensway tube station. Lancaster gate station is near too, but queensway is closer to the hotel.

As for London, it´s so much fun and there is so much to do and see!

Staff are helpful,friendly & professional. Room furnishings and shower etc excellent. Spoilt by noise from I'll fitting windows and a constant hum from ? Heating duct. Breakfast good though proximity of a waitrose was a plus. Avoid 819.
