“Stayed for 2 nights with my husband Feb10 - 12th 2012”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Just returned from the Waldorf, couldn't fault the room or service. Only just got into the room when reception phoned to check everything was OK. The breakfast was excellent one of the best we have had in London. All the staff were very friendly and very efficient. Also the position of the hotel so near to the river, Covent garden and the theatres make it an ideal place to stay in London Will be returning to this hotel in the future.

“What's with the wierd sound?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

The only complaint I have about this hotel was an odd "buzzer" sound that I heard intermittently all night. Like the sound of a buzzer when someone wants to be buzzed in. I did not hear the sound in the morning... (Rm 135)

The room was clean and modern, very trendy. The bed was very comfortable though a bit low to the ground. The staff was friendly and professional. The location is perfect as it is close to theatres, restaurants, and music venues,Temple tube station and the river.

Room Tip: Not Rm 135

“Great location, lovely hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I really enjoyed my stay at the Waldorf. Great location, handy for a night out in Covent Garden / Soho. Lovely room (we upgraded to delux - very spacious.) Great hotel bar. It is quite expensive, but competitive for London. Woul definately stay again.

“Not the WOW factor we were expecting!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Definately not 5*, we were very disappointed with our executive room - it was on the main drag and very noisy at night. The room was 'contemporary' which looked nice but there was no bath - only a not very good wet room which seemed to leak. Apparently if you want a room with a bath you need to specifically ask for one when you book - I've never stayed in a 5* hotel where you had to request a bath.
There was no mirror apart from in the bathroom area and the hairdryer was attached to the inside of the wardrobe, which made it difficult to dry and straighten hair and do makeup (standing in a puddle from the shower) - clearly designed by a man!! Staff were very helpful and moved us for the 2nd night into another room (with bath). Unfortunately there was a problem with really noisy pipes (or something) but by this time we couldn't be bothered to say anything.
All the tables for breakfast in the executive lounge were taken by 9.30; we were advised to go to the main breakfast area - where there was a queue and an even longer wait!
PS. Executive lounge shuts at 8.00pm

“Lovely dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

A friend and I had a three course dinner from the Homage restaurant table d'hôte menu. There was a nice choice of four or five items for each course and although the portions were not huge, after the three courses we were full and satisfied. The food was beautiful and we rounded our dinner off with a glass of champage. The surroundings were elegant and the service was attentive without being overly intrusive. All in all we had a lovely dining experience and one which I would recommend.
