“Budget hotel? Ssssh - I don't think the staff know!”

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff were so helpful and polite I couldn't believe it. We arrived a bit early as the traffic was kind to us, we tentatively asked if there was any chance we could check in early and it was no problem at all. A quick radio to housekeeping and a clean room was located.

The exterior of the hotel is fairly bland and uniform, but the rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The bed was a good size, and the mattress just the right firmness. The room was a family room with two single beds as well as the double. The room was that big that I reckon you could've put another single in and still had room for a party. The bathroom was not huge but was big enough and certainly not cramped. I was pleased that there were enough towels for ALL guests, unlike my experience with Travelodge where you get one towel to share. Despite being directly next to a busy dual carriageway, nothing could be heard from the room.

Car parking was six pounds a day and felt safe enough. The spaces are not a bad size, but if parking under the hotel, the pillars encroach and make parking 'interesting'. For getting into central London, there is a subway to the tube station approximately 30 seconds walk, with the actual station being a couple of minutes walk underground. It's on the Central line, Zone 3 and has plenty of seats going in to London. Coming back you might have to stand for a bit.

There's an onsite restaurant for Breakfast and Dinner (possibly lunch but I'm not sure). It's quite welcoming and modern and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. Breakfast is (or can be) immense. It's good value if you're alone but fantastic value if you're with kids as they eat free. The hot food was hot, the cold food was cold and on both mornings a good selection of everything available. Normally if I stop at a budget hotel it's a trip to the local garage or newsagent for a cereal bar and a bottle of juice, but never again if I'm in a Premier Inn!

We had a really good stay here, the only complaint being with the evening dinner in the restaurant. The food was adequate and good value (kids ate free again as part of an earlybird offer), but the service was just lacking a little. Staff disappeared between courses for too long. Some customers were waiting to pay or order their next course but couldn't. It's a minor gripe, and didn't detract from the rest of the stay.

I have already recommended this to family and friends, and will carry on recommending to anyone who wants a cheap break in London but doesn't want to compromise on comfort. Also, they have interconnected rooms - ideal for families.

“Very good hotel for a short break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Stayed for a 2 night break with a family of 4 (2 kids aged 6 and 8). Room was large enough with reasonable size bathroom (bigger than other hotels I have stayed in such as hilton, ramada etc). Bed was comfortable and we appreciated the extra pillows they left in the room. There were 2 single beds and a double. My youngest complained the 4th bed was narrower than a normal bed but it wasn't an issue. Flatscreen TV in the room with full freeview (not a few extra freeview channels like many other chain hotels).

Right by the tube station for hanger lane (200 yards) and about 20 minutes from central London. Also very convenient if driving down the M40 into London (straight onto A40 and you're there). It's also outside the congestion charge zone. Parking is charged per night but was reasonable. 2 nights stay allowed 3 days of parking.

Breakfast was fabulous with plenty for everyone (continental and cooked) and is all you can eat. Muffins, toast, yoghurts, cereal, crumpets, sausage, egg, bacon, juices, tea, coffee etc etc).

Only thing that we felt let down by was the evening meal. Kids stuff was great and they ate free before 7:30 but the starter, main course and desert all left a little to be desired and service was slow too.

Basically, I'd stay again any day but wouldn't use the restaurant for an evening meal.

“No existe hotel mejor por ese precio”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

“Friendly place to stay”

Stayed for one night, for the New Year celebrations in London. We were in a family room, 1 double and 1 single bed. The room was spacious, very clean, comfortable and modern. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We got back to the hotel on New Years day, just before the bar was due to close at 3:00am. Though they did not have to, they kept the bar open for longer than planned. The barman was very friendly and doubled checked whether we required more drinks before he closed the bar. The staff were genuinely interested on whether you were enjoying your stay. The hotel is right opposite the tube station, the central line takes you to Oxford Circus. Even though you are not in zone 1 on the tube, we had no problem getting back to the hotel, even on New Years Eve. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel, a very good alternative to staying in central London.

“Enjoyable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Stayed for two nights over the Christmas holiday period. Rooms were spotlessly clean, staff were very helpful and breakfast was good value, especially enjoyed the coffee. Reception staff were very friendly and all staff were polite and helpful. Our rooms were of a good size and we were not disturbed in spite of proximity to main road. Tube station (Hangar Lane) is just opposite and takes about 20 minutes to central London, also the 95 bus stop is opposite hotel and about 15 minutes to Westfield shopping centre.Would certainly return - exceeded our expectations.
