Booked this hotel as was attending a conference here. I assumed that with it being a Radisson it would be of a certain standard knowing the brand from other hotels...
I agree with a lot of both the positive and negative comments on here however my overall rating is based on the poor customer service .. there was no real interest in me as a customer from most of the staff - bar the concierge who was quite helpful (although you would expect that bearing in mind their role!). You would expect that on checking out you would be asked about your stay... this wasnt the case. I was so pleased just to be checking out anyway I didnt want to spend any longer there had I been asked anyway.
In summary:
- business room very dated and noisy - noise including plumbing from above rooms, - glass bottles being thrown into skip at rear of hotel at both midnight at 2am (I admit this may not be from the hotel but it does affect your overall experience);
- very dusty in bedroom - especially on ledge behind bed;
- bathroom not to a standard you would expect - eg hairs in the bath;
- no hot water in the morning;
- plug socket hanging off wall behind table;
- sign on door stated I could access free movies during business stay - no instructions on how to do this;
- room service was a let down (with a charge of £4 not what you would expect) - the meal I ordered wasnt available yet I was still charged for it ...
I feel it was every expensive (£210) despite its very good location...I wish I had booked to stay in a Premier Inn - you know what you are getting for your money then.
I will take the time to write to the hotel to get their comments.
