Cant complain about the hotel or staff but service charges for the room and breakfast made me feel ripped off, 23 pounds for a breakfast and then a service charge on top!! there was even a service charge for the room. The ryan air of invoices!!

Stayed t the Lowndes for a weekend in January. Staff are very good, from reception to bar, with nothing too much trouble. Afternoon tea was good, and we enjoyed breakfast in our room which was excellent. I have stayed in lots of London Hotels , but will use this one in future trips.

Stayed here 3 nights in mid Dec 2011.

Hotel doesn't look impressive from the outside however the location was perfect, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was both modern and very well equipped and furnished.

The turn down service was superb and they even brought fresh ice and water each day.

Breakfast had a good selection of food ... only missed my muesli, but not a big issue.

My only complaint was that the shower head was too low. I'm 6'1" and was not able to stand under the shower and instead had to do a spot of limbo.

Would I stay here again ... yes ... in fact I've just booked again for April.

I've never stayed at a Jumeirah property in the past but this was a pleasant surprise. I was in a room facing the street. I'm sure this room would have been a non-starter for light sleepers especially with Sloane Street being quite busy in the wee hours, but it did not bother me at all. Over all, I was very impressed by the cleanliness. In fact, the front desk even allowed me to check-in at 11:30am (though I was told it's possible only at 2 pm). Being right next to most of the consulate I had to visit, it was just perfect. Similarly, with Harrods just round the corner, it was a great place to be in. Bathrooms were clean and had good quality products in ample supply. Bathrobes et al were present, in line with the good properties around the world. Needless to say, I'd definitely go back to this hotel. Though, at £180 a night, I did think it was slightly expensive but as compared to the other hotels in Knightsbridge, it was by far value for money.

I do have a negative point for this hotel though - on 3 occasions that morning, room service entered the room and I had to shout out "no, please don't come in". I thought that was a big let down in the 'service' area hence I'm marking them down for that.
