I come to London 3 or 4 times a year, heading for the independent shops and markets of the unsanitised East End and I always stay at the Town Hall. Because of its design, I would suggest you ask for a quiet room and try for the third( top) floor, especially if you're staying on a Friday/ Saturday night. Voices do reverberate around the lobby area and stairwell. The rooms are spotless, the beds comfortable and the rooms without frills. Steel greys and dark greens- quite " masculine" in design. My only gripes this time were that the towel rail didn't work and one of the taps on the bath was coming loose, so it was a problem turning the showers on. No doubt those will be attended to. And I had booked 2 double rooms, one for me and one for a friend, and paid the deposits for both. When we booked in, eary afternoon, one room wasn't ready. My friend was immediately offered a nice upgrade. Excellent service and it made her feel rather special. Now, this may be more of a comment on my rather pathetic reaction but,as we were travelling together and booking in at the same time, I did feel a little miffed that she had been upgraded and my request for one ignored. However, that's insignificant and I would and will stay again. With or without an upgrade, this really is a haven and a genuinely nice place to stay.
Room Tip: Third floor, facing the central area or side street

Dear Guests
Thank you for sharing your feedback on TripAdvisor on your recent stay at Town Hall Hotel & Apartments. I am pleased to hear that you and your friend enjoyed your stay with us. Please forgive us for not having the apartment ready when you arrived at the hotel, but I am glad to know that our complimentary upgrade has been well received but I am so sorry, to hear that we were a little disappointed that we did not extend our gesture of goodwill to you too, in this occasion. I am glad to know that you really love the hotel as we do and that you choose us above any other accommodation when you visiting London. I am also sorry to hear about the noisy apartments from loud voices from the corridors and the lobby but please for future reference do request an apartment on the higher floors at time of reservation and we will do all we can to honour your request. It is always very encouraging to know that despite this incident you will be returning to stay with again in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly and I will be more than happy to assist with any enquiry you may have. Many thanks and kind regards, Sandro Desole
