This is a good hostel for a budget stay in Liverpool. At the moment, the guesthouse is being done up so there's no common or breakfast room for guests. While my room was fitted everything I needed including a TV, fridge, microwave, I would still have liked not to have to live entirely in my room! Having said that, the house was clean and my hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Quite a nice guesthouse, simple, a quiet neighbourhood and very friendly and helpfull service, which all made it a very pleasant stay for me.

Stayed here for two nights whilst in Liverpool for the Grand National. Although the guest house is in the suburbs rather than the centre of town, a taxi to the racecourse was quick and reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and well-equipped and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delivered to the room as the dining room was being renovated. Overall recommended as a cheap base in Liverpool as long you're not expecting any five-star trimmings.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night, but found Ellan Vannin guest house most welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and arrived at the time we stated. Bob was very helpful in giving us thorough directions to our coach station after our stay. Great hospitality over the weekend. We will most certainly come back.
