The hotel was friendly and all the staff very helpful, kind and courteous. The room was very good value for money, warm, comfortable with everything that you needed. I liked the way that the dining room was laid out for breakfast with each room allocated a table according to the number of guests, a nice touch. The location of the hotel is great being up in the old part of the city, a perfect place to be for the beautiful cathedral, the restaurants and excellent pubs. For lovers of "proper" pubs the Strugglers and the Victoria are just down the road, all of about 2 minutes from the hotel

Location of hotel excellent, walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants etc., Very clean and staff pleasant and helpful. We booked a superior room and were not dissappointed.

Great hotel in a great location, the room was lovely and clean, and the staff were very friendly. The bar is really lively with a lovely conservatory and outside seating area. The car park opposite is really handy and not at all expensive as the hotel pays half the fee. We had breakfast in bed and and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be going back again.
