We spent the week-end at The Belmont Hotel as part of a family wedding group. The accommodation was comfortable, the breakfasts good and the staff excellent- all very friendly and smiling, from reception to restaurant and housekeeping- even the man who was changing lightbulbs for us! The staff gave good service without being asked and were quick to organise snow clearance, help with clearing snow off cars and generally doing a great job cheerfully.

Stayed overnight. Room excellent, warm, clean and well appointed. Restaurant slightly 'undercoooked' with only two meat choices and two fish courses (fresh fish in Leicester?) but not bad. Breakfast good and staff very accommodating.

a lovely hotel with very helpful staff who are so available to whatever request. It is in a good position within walking distance to the centre, very spacious with lots of relaxing areas and it serves a good breakfast.It is also very near to leicester university too.it is a heritage hotel with lots of atmosphere
good value for money

If you like the big corporate hotels then there are plenty around Leicester. However the best hotel for me is The belmont. It is an independednt hotel right in the city centre. It is a 5 minute walk from the train and the service is first class.
