“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I spent one night at the Laurels and it was lovely. It was in a good location and the place was spotless. The room was lovely and cozy and the radiator was on when we arrived. Breakfast in the morning was great and I was offered anything I wanted. Sue and Colin were super, super friendly. I will stay here again when I go back to Blacpool.

Dia duit (hello) to you both and thank you for taking the time to post your review.
Though your stay was for a short time your company was enjoyed by us both and encouraged that overall our standards were to your satisfaction.
We hope you enjoyed the Speed Snooker and the time spent looking around the resort with a view of one day returning.
So in the meanwhile take care and thank you.(Go raibh maith agat)

“BRILLIANT!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

My daughter and I stayed here in dec2011 for two nights while she attended a competition at Winter Gardens. Colin & Sue are fantastic hosts and really make you welcome. The rooms are beautifully clean, the bed comfy and the little touches make for a fantastic stay. The breakfast is great and they really cater to your needs. I would reccommend the Laurels to anybody and when next years comp comes around I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

“BEST YET!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

We are two couple that have been coming to Blackpool every January for nigh-on 30 years!!
This is by far the best accommodation we have had in Blackpool, we have stayed in all the big hotels and small guesthouses - but The Laurels beats the lot of them.

Sue and Colin are wonderful hosts, they make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and with ample room.

A good weekend was had by all and we have never been able to say that before.

Thanks again for a wonderful weekend - we will definitely come again

Thank you all so much for your review and kind comments.
Having travelled some considerable distance to attend " The British Homing Pigeon Show " (Columba Livia) we were happy that your stay with us proved both comfortable and welcoming
Should you decide to attend again next year it would be our very great pleasure to have you spend your time with us.
In the meanwhile look after yourselves and thanks again (coo to you all).

Warm Regards,
Colin and Sue

“Alison & robs new year`s eve break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

I stayed here for a couple of nights with my boyfriend to celebrate the new year. There was a slight confusion on arrival due to booking.com but was soon put right by two wounderful hosts Sue & Colin who made us so welcome and comfortable. Are room was perfect for us cosey and very clean.Nothing was to much trouble for them. we stayed two nights and breakfast was lovely and couldn`t believe on the second morning for breakfast they had everything ready for us of wot we liked it was perfect. would highly recomend and will definitly be returning. sue and colin realy do pay attention to detail. thankyou again for making are short break perfect.
The only reason i gave very good for value is because i went through booking.com who charge commission.if i`d of gone through laurels it would almost definitly be getting excellent my advice dont use booking.com phone up.

Your kind comments have been accepted with great satisfactiion and especially in light of what was said.
It proves how important reviews are when it comes to making that all important decision and how you were guided by them.
We were glad that you had a relaxing time and were able to chill out over the new year.
Please accept our apoligies for the delay in our responce time as this was due in part to Trip Advisor updating their system.
We look forward to meeting you both in the not too distant future and take care.

Kind Regards,
Colin and Sue.

we stayed at the laurels in nov this year .... had went on trip advisor to see what guesthouses and hotels would be like in the areaof blackpool ... we seen the reviews for the laurels and couldnt believe the comments that was made we thought no way any place could be this good.. so we booked to try it . we were greeted by colin and sue and offered us tea or coffee as soon as we arrived . which was lovely we were took up to our room which was spotless and cosy .. we asked were was nice to eat and have a few drinks, which they were more than helpful in were to go and what to do in blackpool, which was great as we were there only for 2 days ..
we were in walking distance of everything .. will defo be back again and have not to look for any more places to stay .. as the laurels will be the place from now on.........
one piece of advice i booked through booking.com and there was a charge for this if i would have rang or emailed the laurels myself i would have saved myself 30 quid so take a bit of advise and ring them direct......

We were more than delighted to have visitors from across the irish sea and reassured that trip advisor played a key part in making your final choice on coming to Blackpool.
As this was your first time here we were happy to read that your accommodation lived up to your expectations and one day return to the resort.
It is always helpful when you arrive at your destination for the first time that you get aquainted with your surroundings and on that we were able to recommend eateries etc.
As it transpired our guests were very keen cyclists and had done the Lands End to John O'groats route in 10 days to mentiion just one.
We were very impressed to say the least and wish you both well in your forthcoming event in France, very best of Irish Luck and take care.

Kind Regards,
Colin and Sue.

Best Wishes,
olin and Sue.
