I have just returned to Scotland after 10 fantastic day's in Blackpool. I stayed at The Sands Hotel, which was fantastic Moe & Jimmy are great hosts, they are very friendly & helpful. The room was very clean with tea/coffee facillities & an onsuite shower/bathroom. As i travelled by train & arrived in Blackpool earlier than i was meant to book into the Hotel, Moe was more than helpful and allowed me to book in as my room was ready. A great choice of breakfast. Thank you Moe & Jimmy for a great stay.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the sands. Right from the off we found Jimmy and Moe to be very friendly and helpful. They informed us where we could park and were happy for us to check in early as the rooms were ready. They also made the children very welcome. The hotel was spotless throughout and the family room we had was very comfortable with plenty of space for us all. Also the hotel is non smoking throughout which was great. The breakfast was lovely with a great choice. The hotel was very welcoming to come back to at the end of the day and we enjoyed an evening in the bar which was very well stocked. In all we would recommend this hotel to family and friends especially those with children as clean, family friendly hotels in blackpool are not easy to come by. Also the location is fantastic! We look forward to using this hotel again in the future.

Just returned from a two night stay at The Sands Hotel in Blackpool.
We arrived around 12:30 and parked on the adjacent car park belonging to The Viking Hotel (£8 a day, go straight in and get a permit or risk being clamped) and popped across to see what time we could check in. We were given a very warm welcome from Heather - Moe and Jimmy's daughter - and told we could check in then and there as our room was ready.
The room was just what we expected from a family room, we were a party of 2 adults and 2 kids, but it was a room that would have comfortably slept 5 as there was a set of bunk beds, a single bed and a double bed.
The room was very clean with towels laid out along with soap for those who forget to take any.
We didn't meet Moe and Jimmy until breakfast time on the first morning and found them to be just as welcoming as Heather.
Typical breakfast with a choice of cereals followed by a full English, kids get a choice of 3 cooked items from the menu, plenty of toast and hot drinks all served with a smile.
We can't comment on the bar as we didn't get in until late and rarely drink alcohol while travelling with the kids.
The hotel is ideally situated on the promenade directly opposite the South Pier and a 5 minute stroll to the Pleasure Beach.
Despite this there was no noise of a nighttime so falling asleep was not a problem.
We would definitely stay here again.

12 of us stayed (all family) at The Sands for 2 nights and I can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed out time there. The rooms were all spotlessly clean, breakfast was cooked to perfection and it was so lovely to come in from a cold October evening to a warm welcome from the owners. The bar (though small) is very well stocked and we thoroughly enjoyed a quiet drink looking out onto the South Pier. The owners were very helpful and informative about local attractions and even offered us discount vouchers to some amenities (which were all within walking distance)! Although we were right on the front and South Pier was directly opposite there was never any noise at night making the hotel fantastic for us as we went with 3 small children. When we next visit Blackpool wewill certainly book in here again! Thank you for a lovely 3 days, from The Wood family
