My Fiance and I arranged to stay at the Glenville House to celebrate my Birthday. We found the hospitality, warm and personal. The food was good and the level of cleanliness was exceptional. The room was supplied with tea, coffee, hand made biscuits, iron and board, hairdryer and even fresh white dressing gowns which was a nice touch. Not to mention the cuddly toy and chocolates on the pillow. There is free on site parking (although limited, but probably ample for residents) and the location is within walking distance of Windermere and Bowness.
We stayed in room four, which was due to be decorated the day we left, however it didnt really need it, it was contemporary and the bed was perfectly comfortable.
Have a wander to the back of the house and if youre lucky, you will see the red deer grazing in the trees or drinking from the Glen.
All in all we were pleasantly surprised at the standard of accomodation here and would recommend it highly.

Just a quick review on our first visit to the Glenville house, its in a perfect location between windermere and bowerness. We recieveved a very warm welcome from Craig and Lynn who explained everything we needed to know. The room was extremely clean ,warm and cosy.The breakfast was cooked to perfection and plenty to choose from.We will definatly return to the Glenville again, could not fault it at all! Fab location half way between Bowness & Windermere. My husband took me at the end of October as a birthday treat...and that it was! The rooms were immaculate and we were pleasantly surprised to find very contemporary. Craig & Lynn were so helpful and friendly, they had lots of advice on things to do in the area, places to walk etc. A lovely touch was a card and chocolates left on my pillow as a birthday gift. We'd definitely visit again if only for the breakfast! Loads of choice and cooked fresh to order. We would highly reccomend this B&B, worth calling to check prices direct with them too as they have seasonal offers.

We recently had a two night stay here and really enjoyed ourselves. I can only reiterate the other positive comments posted on here;
We stayed in Room 1 which was spotlessly clean, had a comfy bed, great shower, and was beautifully decorated, fully equipped and had everything you needed to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfasts were lovely, and the owners were great; they really couldn’t do enough for you and were genuinely warm and welcoming. Everything during our stay was spot on; down to returning after a day out exploring the local area to find a lovely touch of homemade cake waiting for us - which was delicious!
I would highly recommend staying in this B&B to anyone i don’t think you would be disappointed.
