Returned yesterday following a lovely two night stay at Beaumont House, to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary.
We received a very warm welcome from Denise, who showed us to one of the beautiful four poster suites. She then provided us with a welcome tray of coffee and biscuits in the downstairs lounge.
The bed was very comfortable and an absolute joy to sleep in. The furniture was gorgeous - the dresser/wardrobe etc all matched the beautifully carved wooden four poster bed. The decor and furnishing were luxurious. The ensuite had a jacuzzi bath with shower over, was very modern and immaculately clean. Complimentary, miniature toiletries were also provided.
Tea and Coffee making facilities were also in the room, together with a small jar of biscuits. An iron and ironing board were also provided in the wardrobe.
Breakfast was served in the lovely, bright dining room on the ground floor. All food was lovely and fresh and cooked to order. A great way to start the day!
There was an honesty bar in the lounge, which we didn't use but thought was an excellent idea. It was well stocked with all beers/spirits/soft drinks etc and was reasonably priced.
Denise and her staff were available to offer advice and information on the surrounding areas, including places to eat and walks out.
We had our anniversary meal at a restaurant in Windermere - Francine's. Well recommended.
Beaumont House is a beautiful, large, old house with lots of character. It is furnished to a very high standard. Please disregard all critisism about uneven floors etc - these people obviously don't know class!
Would we stay here again ... absolutely! Thank you to Denise and her team for making our stay a memorable one.
