Well ! you start with a modern reception very well managed . Arrive at your room and it looks very tired for the £220 we are paying . The windows do not fit that well, not a problem we are at least overlooking the sea .We are on the second floor and it is a little noisy from the outside .Tried again with the windows but never mind its not freezing .
We have a cup of tea and leave to enjoy the town. Whilst out my wife purchases ear plugs and a herbal sleep remedy just in case . Me ,I dont need such things .
On return to the hotel we manage to eventually buy a drink at the bar this was difficult enough but silly me I asked for some nibbles ,nibbles what you mean nibbles .
We drink up and head for our room a cup of tea would be nice but we are out of milk
two teas is the max then . Change our clothes and out we go . By the way if you are poortly the fire brigade will be needed to extract from the loo as the toilet roll holder
is positioned to make it very difficult to sit on or get off the loo.
Great night out back in our room, by this time very noisy inside and outside sensible
wife in with the ear plugs and herbal draft and away with the fairies . Me help, it was worse than the hotel we stayed in New York with the incessant blowing of taxi horns .
Police cars, ambulances you name it, well there was a period of between six and seven in the morning when you could dose off. When people have a few to many why do they shout so loudly. Anyway my wife is bright and breezy and to breakfast we go . After finding a clean table ,that was a mission we are shown the buffet table and coffee was brought to our table . Because we had been limited to one cup of tea each in our room we asked for another pot of coffee and was brought tea after the second time it was wrong my wife asked how does this keep happening we were told because the pots were identical. Do I need to say more ,other than the floors in the Dining- room were filthy . It had been raining but they were filthy and tiles
were broken rain doesnt break tiles. When we arrived I was awake and jolly looking forward to our wedding anniversary now we are leaving I feel like the Old Ship is in fact
a pirate ship and we had been robbed.
