We stayed for two nights over the weekend, the good points: Nice and friendly staff, friendly resident dogs, clean room. The bad points: Strong dog urine smell on carpets in the hallways which I could smell in my room, dog mess in the court yard, the dining room was very tired and looks nothing like the pictures that are on here, the breakfast was nice but seemed to be dumped on the plate. Maybe I have been spoilt by staying at nicer B&B's in the past but we were dissapointed with our experience and would not stay here again.
Room Tip: Avoid the room next to the kitchen at all costs.

we are sorry that you didnt enjoy your stay, but firstly to clear up a few issues , firstly you state you could smell strong dog urine from the carpet in the hallway , there is no carpet in the hallway only 200 yr old flagstones which are washed every day , secondly you state dining room is tired sorry its decorated this year , we repaint every year , you state also to avoid room near the kitchen but not why , having said in your review that the room was clean , what was problem with room near kitchen ? of course if you have dogs in a house from time to time they go to the toilet ,we try to clear as soon as we see , of course there are much better bed and breakfasts than us but we feel we give a friendly service , with clean rooms and a decent breakfast, not the Hilton but for £35 a head good value , we are allways happy to take on suggestions from our customers on how to improve the experience , but its good idea to remember that you should not judge a simple rustic b and b with a upmarket boutique hotel and as you seem to have issue with dogs to avoid b and b s that have them
