50 of us from our dance club have just spent a great 4 nights at this friendly and welcoming Hotel. My Husband and i had a Double room on the first floor which was very cosy and warm, with a huge walk in wardrobe, and unike some more expensive places we have stayed in this had the most comfortable bed.
Tea and coffee facilities in the room, refilled every day. Towels changed every day if necessary. Flat screen TV that we didn't really have much time to watch but sadly when we did the picture kept breaking up and freezing. It really was not a problem for us though.Lots of Hot water, soap provided.
We found no problem with ordering our evening meal at breakfast time, in fact it saved a lot of time waitng for your order as it was ready much quicker.A good choice of menu 3 courses and coffee.I found the amount of food was enough for me but if you have a large appetite then maybe not.
Breakfast is also served entirely by a waiter/waitress who are kept very busy but are still extremely friendly and efficient. Usual choices plus re-ordering more toast, milk etc is not a problem at all.We enjoyed it very much and it kept us going most of the day.
The evening entertainment was absolutely brilliant, every night, unlike other Hotels within the same price range! They knew we were all dancers and as such were happy to also provide music for Ballroom, Latin, Sequence or Line dance. A special mention to Alan Mann, very funny and a talented musician ( lovely guy) he gave us lots of laughs. Before the entertainmnt Bingo is played and a nightly quiz which was very popular, when the act has a short break the Bingo continues.
The Hotel is a short walk from the cliffs and a lovely walk was had by a lot of us most days into the town along the coastal walk which brings you out near the pier and also the beautiful parks and gardens which contains a massive helium filled Balloon that on less windy days will take you ( attached to the ground) up to a height that you get the best of veiws over Bournemouth and also the IOW in the distance. It is a hilly area and if you cannot manage to get back up to the Hotel there are frequent busses and also the cliffside lift that is only £1.20.If you wish to walk towards the West you eventually get to the lovely Sandbanks which my Husband walked to one afternoon and back! Their are a few very pleasant cafes and restaurants along this stretch of coastal walk and is so relaxing to sit and while away an hour enjoying the best coffees and taking in the views.
We had wonderful weather and a fantastic time and hope that our club will organize another holiday to this Hotel again soon. The coach journeys both ways were very comfortable and they have their own coaches and drivers (plus a loo onboard)!! We would definately return to this Hotel, and thankyou to the management for making us all so welcome and letting us use your dance floor for our afternoon tea dances..Much appreciated.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and the floorboards in the bathroom were pretty noisy.
