Arrived at the hotel for what was to be a memorable Valentine's weekend.

The hotel is very, very disapointing. The heating was broken on one of the coldest nights of the year. It was absolutely freezing! We were given a very small electric heater.

The hot water was insufficient for the number of guests staying so expect a cold shower before dinner time.

Breakfast was adequate although get there early because the eggs we had were cold.

The last straw was when the electricity shut off! All the rooms on were overcome with darkness. After speaking with some staff I realised that this isn't the first time the heating, hot water or electricity has failed.

We decided to leave the hotel one night early and head home.

In a nutshell, this hotel is not fit for purpose and should not be allowed to continue opening its doors.

Stayed here for one night - room was clean but very small and looked tired - maybe having a view over other rooms and air conditioning plant didn't help! I didn't use the health facilities but the bar was airy and light. Being with clients we eat out in the evening but the breakfast was good and facilitated by pleasant staff. Not sure if I was in the particular bedroom because I booked through an agency and consequently was paying a reduced rate. For the money I think you could find a better hotel!

We just spent 2 nights there and were very disappointed with the hotel, particularly with the basement "spa" area, which is in a really tired and quite unpleasant state, mould in the ladies shower cubicle the whole area dark and dingy and a bit smelly. The only route from the basement spa area to the main pool is through reception and the lounge which is quite ridiculous and slightly embarassing! The rooms are no better we were upgraded from a horrible little boxroom at the back to a larger room which had paint peeling off the ceiling and a really sad tatty bathroom. Pillows like bricks and dirty marks on the bedspread and no heating...a common theme it seems. We were offered a move to another room but by then we had lost the will to pack up and just huddled around a blow heater to keep warm. Hardly a 4 star luxury break it was actually more akin to a youth hostel. The staff though are lovely and we felt so sorry for them working in such an awful place, breakfast was very good and dinner was fine but its not enough to ever get us back there.

We stayed here for a weekend, our first room was very nice however the radiator didn't work and on the coldest weekend so far this year we had to ask move. Second room was in the old part of the hotel very large room which needs a bit of modernisation the bath was stained and the shower did not work it only let out a trickle of water which was a bit disappointing. However the hotel itself is very nice lovely bar witch looks onto the swimming pool. Over all a great stay very nice breakfast and would stay again.
