We booked a 3 night/4 day break away between Christmas & New Year, we travelled with 10 family members (booking 3 rooms) and 2 dogs, the rooms were more than adequate, clean and had an en-suite bathroom and colour TV. The reception staff were more than helpful if we asked for anything, the bar staff were excellent with no waiting time to be served even though it was a busy time of the year.
The restaurant staff were very good, they served all meals at our table together, the food in the evening and at breakfast was very good including a good selective choice of meals on the menu.
The pool area was great for all our travelling children with us, it was clean and tidy everytime we went to use it.
Overal no complaints what-so-ever, we will defiantly book again for a mini break away.

This Hotel is in an excellent location on the Westcliff, and we stay here on a regular basis. The breakfast is great and there is always a good selection on the evening menu. Another reason why we book this hotel as they welcome our King Charles Spaniel!
5 minutes walk to the town and the main park and only a short walk down the hill to the Seafront. The BIC is no more 200 metres away.
The hotel is continually being improved and there is good live evening entertainment and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. The free parking is safe and secure and the leisure facilities are great for a quick dip and a jacuzzi.
Would definately recommend this hotel.

The Collingwood is clearly getting better a continual programme of improvements has been going on since the present owners took over some years ago. My Wife and I find it an ideal place to stay, close to the centre of town the BIC centreand only a stones throw from the promenade & beaches. We use the place for business and pleasure, great to work then add a midweek break. Big car park allows you to park up during your stay and walk. We find it usful to load up the car on departures day and pick it up later, gives us an extra day on the beach.
Families love the Collingwood it's very child friendly, with families using the hotel each year for a holiday. The indoor swimming pool and entertainment means you have lots to do even if the weather isn't ideal. The well equiped gym & a sauna are great if you want to destress after work or your meeting.
Dinner sittings are between 18.00hrs & 20.30hrs which means you are able to eat at a time which suits you and that younger visitors can be served early before they get fractious. The charming restaurant is fastidiously clean with nicely presented, tasty food and good portions. The comfortable bar has a good selection of beers, spirits and wines & entertainment, dancing or cabaret. Lots of nice quiet areas though to relax or escape to if you need them.
As with my last visit: Good Food, Facilities, Nice Rooms, Restaurant, Family Friendly, Business Friendly, The Collingwood is the ideal Bournemouth Hotel for Business or Leisure.

Stayed at the Collingwood for a three day break - excellent food, varied menu each evening. Breakfast offered wide choice from continental to full English. Waitresses efficient and always cheerful. Very comfortable room with view of the sea. Made good use of the pool each afternoon before dinner. Entertainment each evening. Good location close to beach, pier and the town centre. Bus stop outside hotel. Ample parking for cars behind the hotel.Could not fault this hotel, facilities, food or staff - looking forward to our next trip.
