“Beautiful, simple and classy”

I celebrated my 30th Birthday here on 3rd February. I can honestly say the hotel is beautiful, friendly and homely. I really did not want to leave. The rooms are gorgeous, we had a bath and shower in an open planned area off of the bedroom. The bed is huge and very confortable. The decor is funky but contemporary. The attention to detail is second to none. The toiletries smelt gorgeous and were very luxurious. I cannot fault the rooms.
We decided to dine in the restaurant, the staff in the restaurant and bar were attentive and friendly. The food is exquisite. The flavours and presentation are unique. The breakfast was nice but the service was less attentive, little things were forgotten when requested. Plenty of choice.

The hotel is a wonderful experience and I would definately recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly break.
There is plenty of free parking and only a 10 minute walk to the main shopping and bar area.

The hotel is Eco friendly, all fixtures and fittings are of an extremely high standard!

I will definately return.

“Food Is Excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Our 2 day stay at the Green House in Bournemouth was given to us as a Christmas present.
We arrived on Saturday afternoon and had no trouble parking. The receptionist was very welcoming and showed us to our room after singing in.

We had dinner booked that evening with the `Tasting Menu' consisting of 4 courses with a different wine with every course ( I believe that this was a special deal through the booking company). I must say that the food was excellent and the staff were extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. They were also very pleasant and professional which made our experience very enjoyable. I can also extend this to the Bar staff. They were very helpful, pleasant and professional. The breakfast was also excellent.

The Room was modern, comfortable and spacious and very clean.

I have only a couple of minor points that I will mention (But did not raise with the manager at the time). There was no drawers in the room for folded items of clothing although there was an ample wardrobe with nice hangers.
We had a room on the ground floor and the corridor past our room served as a back door access to the Kitchen for the waiting staff. We had a long day and went to bed around 11:00 but there was a constant flow of people back and forth. After this had finished there was a constant clattering of pots and pans with the cleaning up process untill, I believe, well past midnight. This was on the busy Saturday night and did not happen on the Sunday.

To sum up - A Good Hotel with excellent staff and excellent food. When booking ask for a room other than on the ground floor. Unless your not as fussy as me and don't mind a little noice on a Saturday Night.
I would fully recommend this Hotel

“Another brilliant visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

This hotel really is exceptional. We came here first a year ago to recover from finishing a book, and this year I went with work to do. A beautiful room at the top of the house had light, space, a desk and a completely fresh feel - fine bed linen and pillows, a free-standing Victorian bath and a walk-in shower, distant views of the sea and wood-pigeons in the treetops. The cliffs and the amazing Russell-Cotes Museum are only seven minutes away. We were on half-board, which is the only sensible option in a city that still doesn't have many good restaurants. Here by contrast the food is a sensual and aesthetic experience. The chef has been replaced by the sous-chef, but the dinner menus were still gorgeously-crafted, intense in taste and flavour but not fatty or too filling - delicious without feeling bad for us. Wonderful puddings too and perfect service. It seems unbelievable that this is also a hotel with such high standards in term of its environmental credentials - but I suppose it's part of the package - for too long British hotels and British food have been happy to be second-best at most things, but the Green House aims to get everything right and for us, succeeded. I left with my work done but also feeling I had been spoiled.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are probably well-equipped, but the small doubles may be on the small side - o...

“A different kind of Bournemouth hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We arrived in the new year, 2012, for a 2 night stay and found the hotel tastefully decorated with Xmas trees and decorations. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the room comfortable with, unusually, a rolltop bath in the room. A Victorian house with a rather austere outside belies a warm interior which has been refurbished in a tasteful modern manner. The restaurant is large (they cater for events) and when we were there only a few diners which made it feel rather lacking in atmosphere. The lack of curtains also made for a cold atmosphere rather than a cosy feel However, the superb food made up for this and the staff were very attentive.

“Gorgeous hotel, would highly recommend!”

For our first romantic weekend away together my partner and I booked into the green house hotel and wow we were in heaven! The staff were amazing and we received a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful stunning room. The little extras and finishing touches were 2nd to none and I could honestly not fault the room one bit. I am used to staying in high end hotels and this was certainly up there with the best. The bed was so amazingly comfortable and the free standing bath set in the bedroom was pure bliss. The town centre was a stones throw away which was great as it was set in a quite road with no late night noise from revellers!!!!! The one and only disappointment was the cooked breakfast as my partners fried egg was so undercooked that the raw white of the egg had run into his fried bread and bacon which made it in edible! My scrambled eggs were ok but not amazing, However the fresh fruit, pastries, cereals and juices were delicious so that made up for the dodgey egg...... Overall wonderful, beautiful, superb boutique hotel which I would definately recommend and go back too. Thank you to all at the green house who made such an effort and gave me a perfect weekend away!
