Having a work contract for 6 weeks in Plymouth, I originally booked at hotel on the Alma Road, which was the noisest road in the city. With numerous hygene issues. So driving around the city I fell upon the Georgian.
What a difference, extremely inviting staff, couldn't do enough to help, even happy to move their own cars allowing me to park in the car park, which has spaces on a first come first served basis.
The room was a compact single, although with everything you need inclusing full en suite. Another room I had was a very spacious twin room, again with everything you need and expect with a hotel of this type.
The bedding was frequently changed and room & shower cleaned daily.
The breakfast was good and cooked / served by an extremely friendly lady...sorry I forget her name. In previous comments it is stated there are owners children running around over breakfast. Maybe they have calmed down or gotten older, ...yes they walked from the kitchen to their own lounge area, but sat quietly and didnt disturb me. To be honest, there was more noise coming from other guests then these two girls made!
The owner, Nancy, was always extremely polite and very friendly, as were all other members of her family.
Location - perfect for the ferry port AND Barbican & City Centre. All were under a 10 min stroll with some of the best resturants in Devon located in the Barbican.
In conclusion, I stayed here for more than 5 weeks and never felt inclined to look around for somewhere else. I would definately be back, and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this bed & breakfast. Give it a try.
