been staying at the lodge for fifteen years started young heres to the next fifteen getting older. our daughter also loves it as much as we do.Fiona Judith and all the staff are fantastic.

we stayed here the staff are friendly and the food is of good quality.. the rooms are clean but basic,, the hotelier couldent do enough for you very good in deed

Booked here for two nights after reading reviews. Very good location for centre of town. Was worried when we arrived as coach trip booked in, but the staff didn't ignore us and we were given a quiet corner for breakfast. Very happy atmosphere in hotel, lots of laughing at the evening entertainment. Only gripe for us is we booked a room with en-suite shower but got a bath. However we could use shower in games room opposite. Spotless and big room with direct access to garden.

... Please check first whether there is a shower if that is your preference as not all rooms have one. Also my room did not have a bedside light which was a problem because I like to read before I sleep and having the room lights on was not fair on the person with whom I was sharing.

The food in my opinion was superior to some higher star rated hotels I have stayed in. I agree with all the reviews here with regard to the staff; they were absolutely brilliant. I would also say everywhere was spotlessly clean including the kitchen.
