This will read like a list because there were so many things that were great about this hotel...
Staff - Just wonderful. They were welcoming and made the whole stay a joy.
Fistral View Room - Comfortable king-sized bed and palatial bathroom. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a particular perk during our winter break.
Lounges - Several rooms (large and small) downstairs where you could sit with a book enjoying the open fires.
Leisure facilities - Great indoor swimming pool with long opening hours (7.30-22.30, no children after 21:30), games room for children and a full-sized snooker table hidden away.
Food - Sublime! Breakfast overlooking the beach. A choice of pastries, cereals, breads, fruits, yoghurts and cooked breakfast menu. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and a real treat. I'd also recommend the dinner menu - lovely!
Overall, our weekend was fabulous. They just need windscreen wipers on the windows so that you can see the beach through the spray!
Oh, and the staff were totally gay-friendly. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

Just returned from a weekend at The Headland after a gap of 3 years.The Hotel is even better than last time. Our bedroom was one of the newly refurbished rooms and have truly amazing huge en-suite bathrooms. The quality of fixtures and fittings are second to none.The staff are all professional and genuinely caring as usual and nothing was too much trouble. Reception even managed to supply me a toothbrush as i'd forgotten mine. The Headland is just a lovely place to be and I want to be there now.

How nice it is, these days, to find a hotel where the staff are genuinely interested in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The location, food and staff are superb. We shall definitely be returning in the near future.

We stayed at this hotel because we had gone there once before for coffee and we really liked the look of this hotel. On check in we were made to feel very special and the receptionist gave a tour of the hotel and our room. We chose a Fistral Bay view room and we couldnt have asked for a better view, a view of Fistral Beach , the ocean and the adjecent golf course. The room itself was a little dusty in places but maybe it was an oversight on the cleaning Staff. The Bathroom was amazing an enourmous bath two wash basins and a double Shower with an overhead Shower head, the best shower we have had had in all our years of travelling. We had booked an evening meal for our first night and that in it self was was very tasty. The breakfast on both mornings was lovely with lots of choice. There is so much i could write about the Headland but to be honest words cannot describe the wonderful stay that we had there. We will return but next time we aim to stay in a Cottage in the grounds , we looked around these and they were also wonderful.
