“Beware of the Aldi delivery at half 7 on Sunday Morning!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Room 125

POSITIVE - Sea views, polite staff, central location, heater was good on a chilly night! Great little restaurant Butchers Bistro near by!! Clean towels and bed covers. Powerful Shower.

NEGATIVE - Hole in the bathroom door (looks like it had been punched!!), Aldi delivery at half 7 on a Sunday morning which went on for a few hours!!!!!! Felt like you were falling into the middle of the bed!! Could have been cleaner around the edges!

Good if you could get it at a cheap price!!!

“Room with a view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We were pleased with our room, We requested a sea view and were not disappointed. Having stayed in several Travelodges we have to say this was one of the better ones, it feels new and very clean although I have slept in more comfortable beds.

Room Tip: Telephone the hotel and ask for a sea view, its worth it!!

Amazing value for money and view one of the best we have ever had , and we have been around!

“Trip to Cornwall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Hotel is very well located in Newquay centre .
Hotel is very nice and clean inside with a large reception, nice bar and great rooms. Very modern and well taken care of. Something that can be lacking in other hotels from this chain but must say not this one as very new.
Overall a very happy stay here.
One thing that was hard is parking near to hotel, during winter months you can park in close streets with Yellow lines overnight but check to see what time the restrictions start in the morning from, im my case 9am.... In the Summer months good luck.

Nearby i would visit Padstow (Lovely Harbour and great Fish and Chips), Tintagel (Stunning walk to the castle with amazing sea views), Boscastle, Lands End and if your down that way then Porthcurno is stunning. (Minack Theatre well worth a vist too while there). Enjoy your visit to one of the most beautiful parts of the country.

“Not for families”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

This hotel is not suitable for families. We had the worst 2 nights sleep we've ever had away. The double glazing is ineffectual. We could hear drunk people swearing and shouting for hours on the first night and on the second night there was very very loud music playing until gone midnight. Our children were frightened of the excessive noise and were unable to sleep. During both nights within the travelodge itself there was banging on doors and drunk people running up and down corridors between 3 and 4 am. We were woken several times during the night and the children were so scared that they wanted to leave. The rooms are newly furnished and the staff very polite but the other guests were very anti social and the staff told us that this was an ongoing problem. There were also empty condom wrappers on the floor of the room when we arrived. They need proper double glazing and a security guard or 2 to patrol at night. Or they should keep families with young children in a seperate part of the building. A very unpleasant weekend.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from stag do's and not next to the night club
