was very glad not to stay here for more than one night .... room was horrid .... the girlfreind got an electric shock when plugged radiator in .. human hair in breakfast .... was told pool table was free .... it was broke thats why its free..... was not worth £10 a night and we paid £80 8( .... never again.

good position in center of newquay, bit rundown but comfortable and clean. Very welcoming and helpful staff

We recently had a stag weekend in Newquay and stayed at the Minerva. Our party was in good spirits and the stay at the Minerva was key in making a great weekend.
The owner and his staff really made our stay great fun and professional to a great standard.
Really personable people who it is clear can identify with families or large groups alike.
I've stayed at far more expensive hotels but never had such a warm, sincere , friendly service. The owner has some great banter which brightened up the hangovers at breakfast!
Aesthetically its not the Hilton but for the price, its really good value and a welcome stay.
Will recommend it to anyone heading down to Newquay. Will be top of the list if we go again.
