I have just returned with my son and 2 granddaughter from a 4 day break here, which we cut short by a day. The advertised entertainment was non existent and due to the drunks we got very little sleep. In the Saturday night we were all waken up at 00.30 ans 0130 was noisy drunks but the final straw was being waken up again at 02.30 by a drunk hammering on the side of the caravan. This terrified my 10 and 11 year old granddaughters so much that we left early. This is definitely not a site that I would recommend to families as you not get much sleep due to the noise and the absence of any entertainment. What can I say about the caravan ? It was dusty and so cold that we all had to sleep fully clothed as the duvets were inadequate. We obtained this holiday via The Sun offer, but it is certainly the first and last time I will do so. It was the worst holiday I have ever had, so anyone thinking of going there, be warned it is not at all like advertised.

We had to complain about the cleanliness after 3 caravans later we cleaned it ourselves. We showed the receptionist the pubic hairs I cleaned from the bathroom and shower and she gagged.In door pool could also do with a scrub, showers very dirty NO outdoor pool.Dogs everywhere including dog poo on the road and path. Security useless transit van driving around site at midnight and this was NOT security.. Also first two caravans carpet threadbare and all three caravans grubby carpets and seats

I just don't know where to start. Having taken up the sun newspaper £9.50 holidays for the past 9 years and never experiencing a bad one, we were really looking forward to our few days away. We paid £40 for an upgrade to a midrange caravan as we appriciate the term, "you get what you pay for". In this instance we did not get what we paid for.

First impressions showed a run down site. There are car parks scattered around the site but with not enought space for everyone staying to park, so driving off road to park on the grass it was. The door on the caravan didn't stay shut. It had to be locked to stay closed. No curtain up to the door seat night everyone could see in.

LIVING ROOM
The carpet in the living area was DISGUSTING. Thread bare, dirty and something made the caravan very smelly. The furniture was also filthy and we almost considered turning away before going any further. We also quickly discovered that the gas fire (the only heating in the whole caravan) DID NOT WORK.

KITCHEN
The kitchen flor was covered in black marks. The fridge had not been switched on in preparation for our stay so chilled and frozen goods purchased before we arrived swiftly defrosted. The oven didnt work so we couldn't even cook said food.

BATHROOM
The bathroom floor was as dirty as the kitchen plus in front of the shower a huge damp patch. The shower had to huge holes in the bottom which had been covered with black electrical tape. The Crome basket on the wall for toiletries was totally rusty.

BEDROOM
I'm so glad was always take our own bedding. Stains, hairs you name it we found it.

OTHER
Parts of the walls were held in with staples. Counter tops were dirty. The whole caravan was freezing all the time. So much so that the mirror on the wall in the bedroom had condensation on it. We had our own quilt plus the three available from the twin room just to keep warm at night. I can't describe how cold it was.

Never again will we choose Trevelgue as a holiday park. Next year it's back to Hendra where we've never had a bad holiday.

We were there on a Sun Holiday ,but before you say what do you expect for £50.00 then please carry on reading

In almost 20 years of Sun Holidays this goes down as the hands down winner of the worse

We arrived on April 2nd at the Reception while were being seen to a couple at reception had already been complaining about Their caravan and wanted it changed
After a while we were then given Caravan Number S65

On first approach we knew this was bad as there was Mud and Dents all over the Caravan

The Seating was black and stained along with the Kitchen Table , the Carpet was also way past its best and had cigarette burn holes in
The curtains were faded and ripped with holes
The fridge door had nowhere to store items as all the shelves were broken

A Family then arrived at Caravan S66 next to us and after about 15 minutes they then phoned your Reception and either left the Site or got another Caravan

We then went back to reception to complain but the Queue was so long and out of the office into the road we decided to give up and give it a go

The Fire did not strike up with the in built electric sparker so I had the unenviable task of poking my fingers through the fire guard protector to light it with a match
The TV would only show about 2 channels on Free view and often froze
My line of work involves Audio Visual and even after re tuning the free view box this did not correct matters
There was also No pulley cord on the Bathroom Blind so we just left this down all the time

The following Morning at 06:30 we heard Men talking very loud and then starting up a van and continually revving the engine
This happened every Morning and sometimes they sounded the Horn on the Van as well , so every Morning were awoken at 06:30 to 06:45 !!!
On Complaint to the Receptionist when we left She said that the Men were Polish Workers who pick Flowers
It has taken a long time for me to write this mail due to the fact that I work away from Home and do not get a chance to do this

WHY put a Family amongst a field full of Polish Workers in a Caravan only fit for a Vagrant is beyond Me ?
I will NOT recommend this Caravan Site to anyone
