“Fabulous 4 bed accomodation with amazing beds if you book the right house, great family holiday.”

We were a little nervous about our Oct half term visit to Atlantic Reach (based on some older reviews on here) but we really needn't have worried. It was much more Center Parcs than Haven which is exactly what we wanted.
We booked 64 Atlantic Reach privately from the owners website and the photos didn't do it justice, it was immaculate.
It seemed to have just been refurbished as it had lovely leather sofas, a massive flat screen TV & best of all the beds were all SO comfy with memory foam type mattresses. I had a peep through some of the other houses windows and it seems that the standard of furniture varies quite a lot so I was very happy with the one we chose.
We went with our 2 children (10 & 12) and my sisters 2 (2 & 4) and there was plenty of room for us all. The owners had provided a travel stairgate so we had no issues with it being open plan also a bed guard was provided so it saved space in the car.
There were childrens free activities every day from watching films, splash time, crafts & junior gym sessions, all the children loved it.
We spent most evenings in the bar as there was a kids disco from 7pm then some type of entertainment, my favourite being 'Magic Kev'!! Everything seemed to go quiet after about 10.30-11pm so we all slept well.
The indoor pool was really clean and warm, even just sitting on the beds at the side was lovely and warm. Obviously the outdoor pool was closed but the childrens play area next to it was brill with a great zip-wire. I also tried the Indigo Spa which was amazing.
There is so much to do in Cornwall even in October we loved it. We will definately return.

Room Tip: Book privately for a cheaper rate/nicer house, as not all houses have big TVs & leather sofas. W...

“Much better than I thought, excellent spotless accomodation and great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I was worried about this holiday after reading some of the reviews so I couldnt have been more happy on arrival. I have disabled children so holidaying is very difficult and I spoke to the site several times in advance and they could not have been nicer or more helpful (especially Lorraine). Our house was as promised really close to the pool and was completly spotless and warm. There was a small issue with a bit of metal poking out of one of the sofas but they sent a repair man immediately and he fixed it. We were warned about the beds being a bit uncomfy (thankyou reviewers!) so bought our own bedding and used their duvet as a matresses topper so they were fine. The kitchen lovely and both bahrooms really nice with a big jacuzzi bath in the one upstairs. We had one of the 4 bed houses and you get 4 good size double rooms (one is downstairs) and a little outside seating area. The pool was beautiful, really, and the changing rooms spotless again. The reason I could not give 5 stars is that lots of the site was not open (not their fault, but it was Oct half term and there was no daytime restaurant) and then small things like the ridiculous price of washing! £5 a wash and £4 a dry! We had to do at least 1 wash a day so it added £80 plus washing powder etc to our holiday....you have dishwashers in the houses, why not a washer dryer, or look at the launderette prices! and also some of the two bed apartments could use a coat of paint on the outside like the nice cheerful houses (it doesnt look like a council estate though...!) and really new matresesses or toppers should be added at some point. The location is brilliant for Padstow and we had a great holiday

Room Tip: Personally I would book direct with the site as they are very helpful

“Just keep coming back for more!”

I have been going to Atlantic Reach for the past 4 years either once or twice a year staying in the 4 bed houses. It is a lovely peaceful resort with lots to do especially in high season. It is very handy if you would like to go to the nearby town of Newquay. It is also good for day trips to Perranporth, St. Ives, Fowey and Padstow. This resort is much better to go in high season as in the low season there is not much evening entertainment but on the plus side it is nice and quiet in the pool and it is easier to get an appointment at the spa, the tennis court and golf are also more easily booked. The spa is lovely and relaxing with treatments, from a hot stone massage to a manicure with an added bonus of using the sauna, steam room and hot tub before or after you treatment. One of the main reasons we keep coming back here is they allow us to take are two beloved bassett hounds they have use of a little garden area by each home and there are plenty of walks around the resort. If you fancy a bite to eat the pub down the road in Quintrell Downs called the Two Clomes does lovely home cooked food and a Cornish pint and if you fancy a takeaway then you can always go to the nearby Fraddon and go to the Award winning fish and chip shop called Port and Starboard the food is lovely and fresh. The resort food is also quite nice often offering a curry or pizza of the day just to note the restaurant and bar have a different menu, there is also a takeaway menu. If you fancy a night in though then you can hire new release dvds from the reception area which boasts free wifi. This resort is the ideal place for a Cornish family holiday far from your Haven or Parkdean holiday, there is plenty to do for children and adults alike.

“Nice place, looking forward to next visit!”

Our first visit to this place and overall we were quite impressed. Having taken a few caravan holidays in the last few years, this complex feels like a real step up in the quality of accomodation and surroundings. We stayed in the middle grade accomodation, a 2 bed, 2 story apartment. While they might look a bit dated from the outside,it was very modern inside, with new kitchen, appliances, furniture, and although small a proper bathroom and shower. Loads of storage space - it made such a change not to spend the week tripping over bags or not having anywhere to put your stuff.

On site facilities were good too-indoor pool ( although could get busy in early evenings - but it was open until 8PM - not like Haven where it shuts is 5-5.30 ! ) Outsdoor pool, tennis courts, badminton, table tennis, pool tables, par 3 golf, kids playground. There is an on site spa but never got round to that. There is a kids indoor play centre for a small fee but wheather was good so it was never needed. You could also hire DVDs if you wanted a quite night in. On site entertainment was OK, some good singers who appeared to be regular bookings and kids entainment on selected nights. No dedicated entertainment team were apparent, or maybe they were just more subtle in their approach than some other places.

There is an on site restaurant, but can't comment as never tried it. The bar and coffe shop prices were quite reasonable. Staff were helpful. An issue with the water supply to our accomodation was resolved the same day while we were out, so cannot fault them at all.

A very enjoyable stay in very comfortable accomodation. We will certainly be going back.

All the staff made me feel welcome and at home , really freindly.
After a hard days sight seeing a visit to the spa , finished off with a meal in the restaurant just completed the day. The spa was totally relaxing and the italian meal was one of the best Ive ever had.Didnt really need to go anywhere else
The swimming pool was great and yet surprisingly uncrowded.Although open to locals , didnt seem busy which totally amazed me.Perfect place to unwind
