“Got What I Paid For.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Not my first stay in this hotel and will not be my last. I always book in advance and get a cheap rate (£20 to £30), personally I would not pay more than £35 for the night for what is basic but clean acommodation at this hotel, but I am only looking for a clean comfortable room to sleep in for 1 or 2 nights, with easy parking and 10 mins from town. If you want bargain prices dont go to any of the other travelodges in Cambridge, they really are dire.

“Best one of this type we've stayed in”

Stayed here while visiting Cambridge. Excellent all round. It is new though, hopefully if they can keep it maintained then it will continue to be excellent. Staff really polite. Short bus ride from the centre of Cambridge, although the late night returns are not too frequent. Breakfast made up of decent sausages and bacon too.

“Good standard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

This hotel did what it said on the tin. Good value bog-standard accommodation. I stayed over Christmas and the hotel was not full, and hence was quiet and peaceful. One downside was that when I arrived the heating in the room was off, so it felt very chill. And the mattress was very cold too ... took a while for it, and me, to warm up in the night. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, and there was a kettle with tea and coffee provided.

There's free Wi-Fi in the restaurant, so don't bother to pay the £5 to use it in your room. And be warned that you can't use up the £5 in dribs and drabs. Once you activate it, that's it ... one use only.

The parking was good - I always found a space under cover. And the hotel is easy to find off the A14. However, there are no facilities within walking distance, and it's quite a way to the city centre. There is a stop for the new guided bus nearby, however, which takes you into Cambridge.

I took my own breakfast ... there's a Tescos at the Milton turn off - the next junction along from the Travelodge ... you can stock up there.

I found the staff always very friendly and helpful too.

A good budget hotel option for Cambridge, which is now an expensive city. I'd definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I had a ground floor room facing the housing estate and it was very quiet.

“New Hotel”

Stayed here new years eve. Got a great deal, family room for about £47! ON New Years Eve!!

Hotel looks brand spanking new, so everything was clean, fresh, and modern.
Couldn't fault it.
The staff I had dealings with were all helpful and friendly. Especially Mike on reception in the early hours. Very tolerant and good fun.

I didn't eat in the restaurant but a couple of our crew ordered pizza and it looked quality, as opposed to an Iceland Bogof.

Would definitely stay there again. Hope the cleanliness is maintained as the hotel ages.

“Convenient location just off ring road and has a restaurant as well!”

Recently opened and well equipped for a Travelodge including restaurant. Everything OK except that toilet flush very hard to operate and orange light in bedhead seemed to work only intermittently! Large and comfortable beds and basic but adequate room equipment. Close to guided bus system giving fast and easy access to central Cambridge.
