Staff very friendly. Hotel clean. 15 min walk to city centre. Wifi is a bit of a pain with only 30 min free. Nice eatery next door with free wifi.

Stayed one night at a 'sale' rate whilst sightseeing.
The building is obviously new and was clean, comfortable and stylish. Although some construction work was taking place nearby, there was no noise heard within the building. Indeed, in our room we heard no noise from other guests or doors banging, something we have experienced in a well known competitors chain of travel hotels.
The hotel is situated some 2 miles from the centre of Cambridge within a new community development. Our room faced the front of the hotel overlooking the car park. The rooms overlooking the rear of the hotel would be facing the A14 and junction 32 roundabout. Whether these rooms would suffer from traffic noise I could not say, but my impression was that the building is very well sound proofed.
Our room was at the end of the first floor corridor and was well equiped with large comfortable bed, single arm chair, Freeview TV, en-suite with bath and shower over, toilet and wash basin. The room also has individual heating controls from where you can set your own desired temperature.
The restaurant and bar is on the ground floor adjacent to the reception and, like the rest of the hotel, was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed an evening meal whist there which was well cooked and substantial. I had the rump steak as part of their 2 courses for £12.50 and this was excellent.
The staff were all well presented and polite, answering any questions and ensuring your stay was as you would expect.
Access to Cambridge we found was best by bus, leaving our car at the hotel's free car park. The bus stop is around 3 - 5 minutes walk away and for £3.50 each we bought 'Day Rider' tickets which allowed travel on buses for that calendar day. The 'Stagecoach' buses to and from Cambridge run at 20 minute intervals and the hotel staff provide a map and timetable for your convenience.
The only two minor critiscisms I would have are that only one bath and hand towel where initially provided in the room, although this was quickly rectified by the reception staff on request. Secondly, if you use a mains electric shaver there is no shaver point in the room. Loan adaptors are available from reception but you have to go down and ask for one and it's not until you want a shave that you realise this.
So, if you want to explore Cambridge and surrounding area I would highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for one night in order to visit Cambridge the next day - we got a good deal - including breakfast we paid less then £50.Great value - the buffet breakfast was very very good value you could have as much or as little as you wanted.Rooms were very clean and modern - staff were very friendly and polite - the meal at night was ok but nothing special.
Would stay again if visting Cambridge
Stayed in the Premier Inn for a weekend away to Cambridge. The Inn is located in the middle if a new build estate, which is slightly odd since initially you cant immediately see where it is. But the upshot is that it is very quiet, which is plus since I have stayed in too many inner city hotels where drunken people shout at all hours. Cant speak much for the local estate, over priced new builds of poor quality, but I digress. There is free parking and the bus to town is only £3.50 for a day ticket, so it ideal for day trips to Cambridge.
The breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are priced to the local area, which means they are a little higher than normal Premier Inns. But this more a reflection that Cambridge is an expensive area to visit.
The room was the usual high standards of the Inn, my only issue was that we were only given one towel instead of two.
The Premier Inn deliveries again, happy to recommend the place.
okay its in the middle of a housing estate but its a standard PI , very functional
1. great parking
2. friendly staff
3. great breakfast ( best i have had for a long time at a PI, they seem to be able to cook the taste out of everything ) really fresh and tasty
4. evening meal was okay but i found the proximity of the restaurant to the reception and bar annoying as my meal was ruined by two idiots on load mobile phones
5. rooms ..its a PI you know what you are getting . big clean and cumfy !
if i was working in Cambridge again i would stay !
