We stayed here for three nights while visiting family in the area. Margaret was very welcoming and friendly. Our ensuite twin room was clean and comfortable with crisp cotton bedlinen and teamaking facilities.Underfloor heating, power shower and heated towel rail added to our comfort

We have stayed in 3 B&B's in England and Squirrel House is by fare the best place for hospitality, service, and atmosphere. I felt right at home! It was my home away from home. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. An amazing place to stay!!!

In my hour of need, Squirrel House and Mr & Mrs Doherty came to the rescue of not only me but my three young boys. Caught in very heavy snow, terrible traffic congestion, my normally reliable car became a road side statistic. Unable to find refuge and with the cold taking its’ toll on the boys I came across Squirrel House. Coming in from the cold we could not have received a warmer welcome and comfort. Mugs of tea, sandwiches and blankets ensured we were warm. The comfort of Margaret acceptance into her home at such a late hour, on what was a wretched evening will be one I will remember forever. Awaiting a professional to fix my car, she allowed us to stay in the comfort and warmth over night and we were all looked after like kings in the morning and until help arrived.
I am forever ever in you debt and cannot thank you enough for your help, support and welcome.
