An excellent room that was spotless and comfortable. Would have like a safe for valuables in view of the fact no key was provided. Suggest that the bathroom should provide some large hangers on the wall for towels and/or clothing. Good breakfast. Lovely house set back from the street. Recommended

Just back from a 3 night stay at Westfield House I booked at the last minute for an unexpected stay in Bristol, but I really landed on my feet. It’s set well back from the road in its own grounds (easy to drive passed if you don’t look out for it) in a pleasant residential area close to the Downs at the top of Bristol, a taxi ride to the middle of the City. It's family run and they couldn't have been kinder they went the extra distance to make my stay in Bristol really comfortable. The house is large enough not to be tripping over other guest or the owners and it was very peaceful, the house was very clean and comfortable and the room was well equipped. The food was very good I ate in several nights. I would recommend Westfield House to anyone wanting somewhere peaceful and comfortable within easy reach of Bristol City centre.

An excellent B&B, i would definately recommend it to anyone visiting Bristol. Friendly owner (plus dog!), very clean and comfortable room and lovely breakfast in the morning. A prior reviewer said there were no keys for the rooms which is correct however you can lock the room from the inside so you are perfectly safe while you sleep. I would definately stay here again!

Clean, Nice decor and comfortable. Nice quiet area and garden.
No complaints there at all.
However, maybe I'm not a Guesthouse kind of person and prefer the anonymity of a hotel.There's friendly and then there's intrusive. I found the questions from the lady owner, in an effort to be 'friendly', a little inappropriate and annoying. 'Where are you going today?' 'What time will you be back?' 'Why are you staying in Bristol?' etc....
I also was expected to choose my breakfast at 4.30pm having just walked in the door after a 3 hour drive.
Breakfast ends at 8.45 by the way. Fine if you're used to getting up at the crack of dawn when you're on a break.
The main complaint was the fact that none of the rooms had keys! I've never heard of such a thing. I was not happy leaving my laptop and belongings in the room and I couldn't even lock my room from the inside so in effect, anyone accidentally or otherwise could have just walked in as the rooms were not numbered to identify them! No key to the front door either so if you want to come back after midnight you have to inform the owners in advance.
Felt like I was a teenager back at my mum's.
