I use Accor hotels reasonably frequently, mostly Mercure and Novotel, and every so often you get a pleasant suprise, which rreminds you why you sue them. Not only was this a very pleasant hotel with really nice staff I got an upgrade to Exec room, which provided an additional level of comfort, fee wi-fi, a little more space and a free drink in the Bar.

Very nice hotel, room was nice and clean and being very close to main road, surprisingly guiet.
The only disappointment was the service at the front desk. As I am working in hospitality industry the check in and check out was unacceptable. The receptionist on check in did not ask me any questions apart of my name. Nothing mentioned about hotel facilities, no explanation how to get to room, no information what so ever! I would understand if the desk was busy but we were the only people there. I was hoping that at least check out would be better. But it was the same, waiting 5 min without anyone acknowledging us, the girl asked me to pay someone's else bill and when I asked if we could leave luggage for couple of hours it looked like I bothered too much.

Other than that we enjoyed the weekend break in Bristol

I stayed here for one night in January on business. Firstly the hotel was really easy to find, it was only a few miles from the motorway and very fast to get to.
On arrival i entered the underground car park (the hotel car park was very well signposted) and tried to find a space and this was the tricky part. The spaces allocated to the hotel were all full and the other spaces belonged to businesses around the area. I ended up parking in a space that was reserved for someone else, but it didn't seem to upset anyone! There doesn't seem to be enough car parking for the hotel so at busy times get there early.
The hotel is very nice, reception area is open and warm with computers to play on a toys for the kids. My checkin was flawless and very quick. The room I stayed is was on the 2nd floor and it had large windows which looked onto the main street - this proved to be a bit of a drawback as it was a little noisy, but not so much I couldn't sleep.
The food is good, and served politely and in a friendly way - therefore I cannot fault them there and the room was fully equipped with everything i needed (iron, hairdryer etc.)
Overall this is a nice hotel with a lovely atmosphere - I would stay here again on if I was in Bristol on business.
