Booked this hotel as it was close to a party we were going to with some friends. The rooms were dated and in need of an upgrade, and a thorough clean. They weren't dirty dirty, just a bit grubby and dusty in places. They probably cleaned our room when the last people checked out a few weeks ago.

The bathroom had carpet in it, which isn't the best in a bathroom, and it also went up the side of the bath??? The hot water took ages to come through, and was only really warm enough for a quick shower. Our room was quite big with a sofa, however our friends were quite small and very randomly decorated.

The bed however was very clean and very comfortable, and really thats all we wanted from the hotel.

The bar area was very nice, however, had q quick drink before going out and my bottle of beer was 3 months out of date, and was out of a multipack, my crisps were also a month out of date.

Breakfast was ok, large helpings, but a bit greasy for me.

On the whole it wasn't a bad experience, but could have been better as it wasn't exactly a cheap stay at £75, but a quaint comfortable stay. Could be lovely if they upgraded it a little and had a little more attention to details.

Lovely warm room and room service was fantastic, all in we had a great stay which was excellent value for money......... Highly recommended for a romantic beak

I booked a single bedded room for a short business trip and thouroughly enjoyed my stay. the room was on the small side but it was very comfy and cosy. it had all the nesscessities i needed. i had a lovely dinner in the bistro style restaurant and the breakfast was lovely. perfect to start my busy day with. the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly which ade you feel at home. in all it felt like home from home. thank you for a pleasant stay.

Reading other reviews, I was not expecting such a pleasant stay at The Grange. The staff were extremely welcoming and our rooms were very clean and comfortable. We are vegans and we had a lovely vegan breakfast.
