“Excellent B&B choice for Bristol airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Well I'm still at Newditch Farm but heading to the airport soon. So I'll take advantage of their excellent wifi connection and write a wee review :)
From my 1st phone call to breakfast this morning, everything about this place is easy.. Penny gave me the info I needed to get here (take the Bristol Flyer bus from the train station to the airport) and she picked me up as soon as I arrived.
Accommodation is in nice little self contained rooms, separate from the main farm house, so you get a degree of privacy not experienced in some other B&Bs. Very nice units, warm and comfortable.
Breakfast is worth a huge portion of the price in itself, lovely home cooking and a choice of whatever you want. Just waiting for my return trip to the airport now which they provide free of charge and as it's only 2 mins from the airport no need to rush.
I don't have a car but I believe that parking is free while you are away if you have stayed at the B&B, which is a very good deal.
Overall a pleasent and relaxing start to my trip....
Thanks...

“Excellent service, quick pick-up”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

We would definitely come here again, after a warm welcome and attentive service. Penny stayed up late to show us into our room and then provided a copious breakfast the following morning. The rooms are nicely kitted out and clean. We were able to leave our car there for the duration of the holiday.

On our return to Bristol, we were picked up from the airport within 5 minutes of 'phoning - maybe even less.

“Once Again, Highly Recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

I've stayed here many times now. Always a pleasant welcome from Penny. The rooms are comfy, and just what you need before a flight out from Bristol the following morning.
Although literally just around the corner from the airport you don't often hear planes as its not under the flight path for final approach or take-offs. It doesn't disturb sleep.
We had an early flight so couldn't have the full breakfast, but we were brought warm croissants to our room at 5.30am which set us up for the journey.
Many thanks; the family all work hard around the clock :)

“What an amazing place.”

This was our first visit to Newditch farm, and it definitely won't be our last. This B&B turned our to be a hidden gem and offers excellent value.

The hosts Penny and Andy obviously takes pride running their place and made us feel very welcome from welcome to finish. They were very friendly, showing us around the premises where they grow local produce; tomatoes, salad, corquettes etc. and we felt well cared for.

They were helpful with advice about the local area and showed a genuine interest in making our stay the best possible. Upon hearing we were driving around the local area, Penny lent us her detailed road map and gave us with some tickets for Cheddar Gorge. I unfortunately had a cold and was thoughtfully provided medicine. Andy enjoyed giving us a tour of the premises, and he has green fingers, there's greenhouses and fields with yummie vegetables.

Penny cooks the best breakfast table, consisting of their own produce picked fresh every morning and the bacon supplied by the neighbours pig, making it any way we liked it. Yumm!

Our rooms were in a charming converted old barn, we stayed five people in two double and one single room. Each room having a bathroom, living room and bedroom upstairs. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. I was initially worried by the places close proximity to both a main road and the airport, since I prefer to sleep with an open window, but there was no traffic or other noises and I slept like a baby.

There's free parking, and some people use the place to stay a night before taking a flight. There's also a lot of pilot regulars, obviously knowing a good thing when they see it and taking advantage of the free transfer service. The place is a little cluttered outside, as they have many greenhouses and are slowly restoring another building, but its cozy and homey and just what a B&B should be.
