Spent my second week in Bristol, in my second serviced apartment. I had room 610 on the 6th floor. Overall this is a reasonable apartment but with some strong watch outs.
1 the self service check in is a bit tricky, you need to make sure you have both the entry code for the door, and then the safety deposit code for getting access to your welcome pack.
2 the furniture is not very comfortable and show pretty hard wear - the carpets in my apartment were heavily marked, one of the leather sofas had a rip on the seat.my first nights attempt at sleep was appealing - the bed was had a broken divan - how this wasn't picked up when it was being prepared for me is beyond me! However I will say the true test is how a company deals with a problem and the managing agents had this sorted out for me on the same day I reported it and left me and left a bottle of wine and a decent apology - so top marks for customer service
3 - the gadgets are not hard, some like the iPod player just plain broke - nice touch to leave a few DVD,s out.
4 - as mentioned before the bed even in a fixed state was pretty uncomfortable, the inside room I had was very noisy at night due to a business running thought the night just behind the apartments. - room window was only covered by thin draw blinds so was very light! Guess my key point is - if you have trouble sleeping or you like a nice comfy bed I don't think this is for you
I have pointed out the issues as I see them, and it might seem a bit negative however they are reality - despite this the flats are clean, the customer service excellent and I would choose this over a hotel anytime alhough I would beg a front room.
Top marks to the team who ran it - but some advice - put in better beds, get the small stains on the carpets sorted and the walls in bathrooms and in general spruced up some. It's a great value altnative to a hotel but little things would really make the difference
