Small room, small bed and smell of slurry pit.
Poor breakfast with no orange juice and just toasts and fruits. Only accept cash for payment and quite expensive for what it is. It would be better around 50 pounds per night instead of nearly 70.

The location is very convenient and the cottage is in a wonderful country setting. The room and building seem newly refinished and the result is a very nice take on a classic country house.
My friend and I stayed in the twin room for one night. We were looking for a cheap place near the airport and were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Meadow Cottage. The room was small, but very tastefully furnished. The bathroom was large and clean with a very nice 'open' format shower.
The staff went out of their way to accommodate our 2am arrival and were very helpful in setting up our stay. Breakfast was simple and self-serve, but better than what you get in many B&B's in europe.

Stayed 1 night in the twin room. This room is very small and the beds are only 2'6" and rickety. The television was tiny and barely worked. Wiring everywhere to run kettle, tv etc. The room was damp and the bathroom was not clear (toothpaste on the mirror, hairs around the place). The bathroom is a wet-room with a central drain and when you run the water, the smell emerging from the drain was awful. I could go on but enough is enough. I also echo comments from other reviewers on the "odd" arrangements for breakfast.
Maybe some of the other rooms are OK but definitely don't stay in the twin.
How sad it is that hotels and guesthouses near Bristol Airport think that they can take advantage of their position and "captive audience" to not only charge high prices but offer terrible accomodation too......sigh!

Loved this place. Very friendly owner who accomodated specific room requests. Stunning location. Everything has been done with thought and care. would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to friends visiting the area.
