“Fantastic (even with terrible lifts)”

I regularly stay in the hotel for business and have converted my colleagues to switch to the rad blu from the marriott. The location is fantastic, service great and, like all rad blus the decor is modern. I am also a huge fan of the club carlson rewards scheme. Its also great to receive complimentary 2 x cans of coke and water on arrival plus nice biscuits with the teas.

The one thing that let's this hotel down is it's ongoing issues with the lifts. This has been an issue for months and months. I have have waited ten minutes for the lift- a real pain in the morning (with luggage). Apart from this, my fav hotel in southwest and plan to visit at the weekend soon... when waiting for the lift won't be an issue!

I am not sure to smile or grimace from your words, what you have written is wonderful and great to hear until you get to the lift paragraph. we are working flat out to get the lifts sorted and it seems it is taking forever, I thank you very much for your patience and fingers crossed by your next visit it will be done and we will have you flying up and down in the lifts with out a hitch.

Nice big rooms, great location, friendly staff, good bathrooms and very clean....what more do you want (and good rate too). beds were comfortable too. This was our second year staying here and will be back next year

“Will Stay Here Again”

Excellent location!
Large room with a bright and modern feel.
Bed was so comfortable, bathroom was modern and clean with lovely products.
The car park was small but there was an NCP just 5 minutes down the road with discounted rates for the hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good with staff offering to freshly cook items if required.

The lifts were slow and a colleague was unfortunate and got stuck in one of them for 30 minutes.....but he came to no harm and it all led to an amusing morning!

“it's above average and well situated”

I stayed here on a work trip in January 2012. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was nice. The staff courteous and helpful. Not enough of everything to make it excellent but definitely very good.

“Excellent location. Odd decor!”

We booked a last minute room via the web so it was very cheap. It is extremely centrally located and perfect for a night out in Bristol. The room was large, as was the double bed and the bathroom well equipped. Check in was friendly and very smooth. The free wifi was easy to use and very welcome.
However the parking was full; we arrived at 7pm. The decor of the room was peculiar (cheap and tacky mock gilt furniture next to a shelf covered in carpet which was for luggage and next to square modern furniture) and not to my taste at all. We slept well, the room was warm and the bed comfortable, even though th duvet was too narrow and did not reach the edges.
At the price we paid it was a very good room. If I had paid full price I would have been disappointed and it does not compare well with my favourite hotel chain Marriott.

Thank you very much for your review of the hotel, unfortunately not all of our rooms appeal to everyone, although your comment have been noted and we will look at this in the future plannings.
Here in Bristol we have 3 diffrent room styles, perhaps when you come and vist us again you can try a diffrent one like the Chic style.
